The Washington Kastles are the undefeated champions of the 2011 World Team Tennis season. The secret to their success? Well they got top players and coaches, but it might also have something to do with the Washington Kastles Cheerleaders who are under the direction of our good friend Donald Wells.

Last month I hopped down to DC to check out the new Kastles Stadium and the 2011 version of the Kastles Cheerleaders.

I thought Philadelphia was bad, but Sunday in Washington DC was hot, hot, hot. And humid, too. I drove down for my first ever look at the Washington Kastles Cheerleaders. It was a great relief that the tennis match started at 7:00pm and as the sun dropped lower and lower, things cooled of considerably.

The Washington Kastles Cheerleaders are under the direction of our good friend Donald Wells. And if you think you recognize some of these ladies, you are probably correct. They all previously cheered for the Redskins.

Our good friend Donald Wells has directed cheerleaders for basketball, football and even cricket. Now he’s decided to try his hand at tennis.

He’s running the Washington Kastles Cheerleaders of World Team Tennis. They took the first photos of the squad last night, and more are coming soon.
