This month is our Tenth Anniversary and to celebrate we’re posting some of our all-time favorite photos.
Charger Girl Summer in 2008
Both James and I (and I think Sasha too) were members of an old Yahoo Group that focused on professional cheerleaders. It was a fan site that had a lot of members and was a place for cheerleader fans to share photos and talk about our favorite squads. If I recall correctly, after the original owner of that site closed it down, James started his old procheerleaderblog.com site.
In 2006, I started submitting photos to James for inclusion in his new site. I was a Chargers season ticket holder and was able to get many good shots of the “hottest dance team in the NFL” and this was how I got started with this blog.
One of my favorite Charger Girls to photograph was a girl named Summer and as many Charger fans will tell you, Summer was special. So, in honor of the 10th anniversary of this blog, I would like to share with you one of my favorite photos…presenting Charger Girl Summer.

There’s nothing that makes me more happy than being able to photograph something interesting and beautiful. And this past Tuesday, I was very happy because I was in St. Louis photographing the 2014 St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders final auditions at The Pageant theater.
This was my third year covering their auditions and every year, I have a great time because I get to photograph some of the most beautiful women in Missouri and I always get some compelling images.
The 2014 St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders final auditions are a pageant style audition that is open to the public. It is more of a theatrical production than an open call audition and it really is worthy of an evening’s entertainment.
The show was scheduled to start at 6:30 pm, but the girls started arriving a little after 3:00 pm to rehearse and get their hair and make up done. I know this because I was across the street from the theater grabbing a bite to eat at Pi Pizzeria, dining on some of the finest deep dish pizza in St. Louis.
Over the years, I have photographed many professional cheerleaders and as luck would have it, three of them were cast on current television shows. Morgan, a former 49ers Gold Rush member, is currently on the latest edition of Survivor, Survivor: Cagayan, and is featured on the premiere episode entitled, Hot Girl With A Grudge.
And earlier this season on The Bachelor, former Detroit Pride Cheerleader Cassandra and former Phoenix Suns Dancer Kat were featured prominently on the show.
Unfortunately for them, they were eliminated in episode 6. But they’ll be back on the reunion show on Monday.
The St. Louis Rams are searching for enthusiastic, talented and energetic young women to be members of the renowned entertainment and public relations team – the St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders!
