You couldn’t have asked for a more exciting game with a last minute field goal deciding the outcome. Unfortunately for Charger fans, you could have asked for a better outcome as it was the Chiefs who kicked the winning 48 yard field goal to end the Chargers five game win streak.
Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith deftly managed the ebb and flow of the game, passing for an efficient 221 yards and a touchdown on 19 of 28 passes. Jamaal Charles added 95 yards on the ground and the Chiefs defense held the Chargers to 251 total net yards.
Final Score: Chiefs – 23 Chargers – 20.
All good things come to an end, like five game winning streaks. But as far as the Charger Girls and their fans are concerned…the good times continue to roll!
The Charger Girls changed the order of the lines this week, so let’s begin by introducing the Captains in the order they appeared in my section: Kaitlyn, Clarisse, Angela M, and Natalie.
This week’s Charger Girl of the Day is a five year veteran and three year Captain…introducing Santa Maria’s own Natalie.

This is a guest post from out good friend Elizabeth Morgan an alumnae of the CFL Toronto Argonauts, CFL Hamilton Tiger Cats and NFL Buffalo Bills Cheerleaders.
On October 18 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, fans were treated to an exciting halftime show performed by the CFL Toronto Argos Cheerleader Alumni. The event was part of the Argos’ annual PINK game to raise money and awareness for women’s cancers. This year’s cause specifically was Ovarian cancer. Touches of teal were sported by the ladies, among the PINK and of course, the Argos’ traditional double blue colours.

Close to 100 ladies, who cheered for the Argos from the 1970’s up to 2013, performed a five-minute routine that featured retro, rock, hip hop and pop music. After just a few pre-event rehearsals and a quick run-through all together before the game, the talented ladies of the double blue took to the field at half-time to thunderous applause. They danced while video images of the Argos cheerleaders from many decades graced the Jumbotron.
The groups who performed include the ‘Double Blue Thunder’ Argos Alumni Cheerleaders (1996-2013) and the Argos Sunshine Girls (1970’s-1996).

Women’s cancers have touched the lives of each of these alumni, either directly or through family members/friends battling the disease. Thus, this performance was an important demonstration of support and of teamwork to further research, treatment and support.
The Toronto Argos played the Montreal Alouettes at this home game. While the Argos lost this particular game, it was still a resounding victory for the ladies and the PINK cause!
Group shot of all the ladies on the field right after we performed the halftime show.
Besides the game performance itself, this experience represented a special opportunity to reconnect with former teammates, share memories and enjoy time together with our Alumni sisters. Following the game we danced the night away in downtown Toronto! I was honoured to participate in this game with my fellow Alumni for the fourth year in a row and we are already looking forward to next year!
October is the Sport Fanatic dream month. MLB, NFL & NHL all in action.
The Tampa Bay Lightning started their very optimistic season with an opening night overtime victory against the Florida Panthers. Kudos to the players but of course the Lightning Girls are also doing their part as the newly named Amalie Arena is rocking with cheers.
The fan favorite 14 member squad is led by captains Heather and Allison. Enjoy the photos from the first week.

Get in on the action and help fight pediatric cancer by purchasing one of the Patriots Cheerleaders game-worn Devon Still jerseys!
On Sunday, October 5th, the Patriots Cheerleaders turned in their uniforms for Cincinnati Bengals Devon Still jerseys as a show of support for Still’s 4 year old daughter, Leah, who has been battling cancer. Get in on the action and help fight pediatric cancer by purchasing one of the Patriots Cheerleaders game-worn Devon Still jerseys! The jerseys were autographed by the 2014 Patriots Cheerleaders after the game, and each jersey comes complete with a Patriots ProShop Certificate of Authenticity. All of the profits from the sale of these jerseys will go through the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation and be earmarked for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in support of pediatric cancer care and research. Auditions for the Philadelphia Soulmates are next month. To give hopefuls an idea of what to expect during the audition process, the squad held workshop, where we learned what NOT to do when trying out.

Carley might be dressed appropriately for a hip-hop audition but not for Soulmates tryouts.
You can’t tell from this photo but Kayia has an uncovered tattoo.
Maurisa shows off the proper audition look.
It wasn’t all gag auditions though, participants learned a routine and then performed at a mock audition.

We saw a lot of pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month last week, but nobody does pink quite like the Sea Gals! You have to love ‘em. HUGE thanks to the team’s Director/Choreographer Sherri Thompson for these fantastic BIG photos of the ladies in action last weekend. (Click each photo to view full size.)
…and I promise you, sooner or later, I’m gettin’ me a pair of those pink boots. Don’t know where I’ll wear them, but they will be mine. Oh yes.
Kings Vision gives you an all-access look at the first day of auditions for the LA Kings Ice Crew. See who made the cut for Day 2!
Last Sunday was very colorful inside Ray Jay Stadium in Tampa. The Buccaneer players were BLACK and BLUE before the first quarter ended. The halftime showcase performance was endzone to endzone PINK and it seemed like the only fans who stayed for the second half all had PURPLE jerseys on.
My only comments regarding the Buc’s football play against the Ravens is “No Comment Sir”.
The Buccaneer hierarchy, in concert with the TBBC, did a masterful job with the halftime presentation. Hundreds of invited guests on the field designed human pink ribbons for the breast cancer awareness salute. The USF cheer and dance teams also were in attendance performing stunts. Kudos out to Tara Battiato and her team for a great entertainment show.
