49ers Gold Rush at Draft Day – Part 2
Bay-Area Correspondent Rex was at the 49ers Draft Day Party last Saturday. Here’s his report:
The San Francisco 49ers’ draft party, held at the Santa Clara Convention Center on Saturday, was not only the first team event of the upcoming NFL season but was also the first public appearance of the 2009 Gold Rush squad. Although none of the newer members of the squad came to the event, most of the team’s veterans, including last year’s calendar cover girl Amber, notable mainstays Amy, Carmen, Daffne and Lauren D. and performance director Kristin O. (who is also a former Gold Rush member), were on hand to meet and greet with the fans. The ladies also performed some high energy dance numbers to pump up the crowd and get the fans excited before the team drafted its newest member with the #10 pick of the draft. The ladies showed no rust at all from the long break as they expertly danced and high kicked their way into the 49ers fans’ hearts.
