Portland, Maine – The Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League today introduced their inaugural Sun Tan City Ice Girls Team.

Members of the Sun Tan City Ice Girls Team will be an integral part of the in-arena entertainment at all Pirates home games during the 2010-11 season, taking place in on- and off-ice activities. The Sun Tan City Ice Girls will also be prominent members of all Pirates charitable and community activities throughout the course of the season.

Sun Tan City Ice Girls Team, who will utilize CrossFit Casco Bay as the Official Fitness Facility of the Ice Girls, were selected following an audition session held at the Portland Ice Arena at the beginning of September. The successful candidates displayed their abilities to skate, dance and comfortably interact in a game setting.

Congratulations to the 2010-11 members of the Sun Tan City Ice Girls Team.
