Every year I come to this event, I promise myself that I will photograph some Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders. I’ve wanted to do that for several years, but I never seem to be able to do so. You’d think that I would be able to, but time…free time…is extremely limited. Being that Atlanta is the Falcons home, you’d think I’d be able to snag a few AFCs after the dancing is done for the day…but they always seem to depart quickly at days end before I can approach them.
But this year was different and I was able to arrange for a couple of Falcons Cheerleaders to pose for me. And our next 2019 P-R-O Convention All Star is special. There’s something imposing about her…an almost intimidating presence, yet when she smiles or dances, there’s a warmth and happiness about her that’s simply amazing. She’s quite alluring and that is all good in my book…that and the fact that she’s extremely photogenic.
So without further ado, introducing Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader Mikyle, our next 2019 P-R-O Convention All Star.
We have many more special cheerleaders like Mikyle to feature, so check back again soon to see our next 2019 P-R-O Convention All Star.
Seems like Charlotte, North Carolina may be the epicenter for the hottest cheerleaders in professional sports. With the TopCats, Honey Bees, and the CheckMates, all of which sent representatives to the 2019 P-R-O convention, the region was well represented with attractive and skilled dancers. And our next 2019 P-R-O Convention All Star was a dancer who really stood out at the weekend event and enjoyed photographing her…introducing Charlotte CheckMate Jessica.
Jessica was amazing to photograph and she was one of a number of wonderful dancers at the 2019 P-R-O Convention. So, who will be our next All Star? Check back tomorrow to see who is next!

The Three Best Color Options for College and Pro Cheer Audition Outfits
By Stephanie from The Line Up
You’ve found your perfect outfit for your pro cheer audition and are ready to order! Now the question is, “What colors do I get?!” With endless possibilities for color combinations for made-to-order styles, we get that it is no easy task to decide!
Every year, we get a lot of questions about the best color combinations for tryout wear, so we’ve compiled a list of the top three color options for your pro cheer audition apparel. Check out the list below!
1. Team Colors
Team colors are the most common choice for tryout apparel – and some NFL and NBA cheer teams even require it! For example, the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders require their candidates to wear purple, white, gold, or black to team auditions.
Despite these color restrictions, there are plenty of ways to get creative with incorporating your team’s limited color palette into your audition apparel, while still putting your own spin on it to reflect your personality and style. If you’re a sporty kind of lady, apply your team colors to a style with an athletic look. If you’re more feminine, apply your team colors to an outfit with ruffles or a skirt!
2. Bright Colors
3. All Black Everything!

The P-R-O Convention is an international event, attracting cheerleaders from all over the world and a recent phenomenon has been the number of cheerleaders from Japan who try out and make major league professional cheerleading and dance teams here in the USA. Every year, I try to recognize these special women and our friend Azusa from the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders was able to wrangle all the Japanese professional cheerleaders at this year’s P-R-O for a group photo.
2019 has been a year of change in professional cheerleading. Recent social developments have led to the elimination of several traditional all female dance teams in favor of more coed hip hop squads or promotional teams. Sadly this has become the norm. And other changes, some long over due, have necessitated the evolution of professional cheerleading to where it is today, a more inclusive and socially responsible endeavor.
That being said, there will always be a demand for in game entertainment that engages the fan base and enlivens the game day experience. This is an ever evolving concept and events like the annual P-R-O Convention in Atlanta meet that demand by providing the very best in dance choreography for the modern day sporting event.
And because it is what it is, the P-R-O Convention is, for me, one of the best events to cover and a personal favorite of mine.
Each year, the best professional cheerleaders gather in Atlanta, Georgia to attend the annual P-R-O Convention for two days of intensive dance training and team building. This year marks the 16th anniversary of this amazing event and over 250 cheerleaders and dancers were in attendance.
