The 2012 South Division Champion Jacksonville Sharks and the Arena Football League announced that Attack Dancer Amanda has been named to the AFL’s “Net10 Dream Team.” Amanda will represent the Sharks and the Attack during ArenaBowl XXVI in Orlando.
This is Amanda’s first selection to the Net10 Dream Team. She is in her fourth year with the Attack, and is the only dancer to be a member of the squad for each of the Sharks’ four years as a franchise. Before the start of the season, Amanda was elected to be one of the Attack’s two co-captains for this year.
Amanda was named to the Dream Team as a result of fan voting on ArenaFootball.com. The Dream Team consists of 14 dancers, one representing each AFL team. Amanda and the rest of the squad will perform during ArenaBowl XXVI, to be played in Orlando on Saturday, August 17, and will also make appearances throughout ArenaBowl Championship Week.

In the fall they’ll be raising team spirit from the sidelines of Lincoln Financial Field, but in the summertime the Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders are raising funds for those New Jersey residents who suffered the wrath of Hurricane Sandy last October.
On Wednesday, July 24, the Eagles cheerleaders will be hosting a two-part event at The Chelsea hotel (111 S. Chelsea Ave. in A.C.), including a free and open-to-the-public competition between emergency responders that will take place 3:30-5pm on the beach in front of The Chelsea.
The “Eagles Cheerleaders Beach Competition” will feature the cheerleaders sporting their “Eagles” bikinis and competing with emergency responders in a variety of beach games, including flag football, beach volleyball, and an obstacle course. The emergency responders team will be comprised of New Jersey State Troopers from nine different stations as well as firefighters from Atlantic City, all of whom were involved in the response to Hurricane Sandy. The Eagles cheerleaders created this interactive event as a way to personally thank these emergency personnel for their heroism.
The second part of the event is the “Eco-Friendly Bikini Fashion Show and Dance Performance,” which is by invitation only and takes place from 7-10pm (fashion show starting at 8). Sponsored by Sportsradio 94WIP, the gathering will include the unveiling of the new 2013-14 calendar images, a dance performance, a sneak peek of bikini videos to be featured in the Eagles Cheerleaders 2014 Calendar Mobile App, and the much-anticipated announcement of the cover girl. All of the guests, which will include the emergency responders who participated in the beach competition, will receive a complimentary copy of the 2013-2014 Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders Calendar.
The calendar will be available for purchase at PhiladelphiaEagles.com starting July 25. It will also be available in Eagles Pro Shops and at Training Camp on July 28 (at both the Cherry Hill and Lincoln Financial Field locations), and at various bookstores starting in mid-August.
Additionally, four Eagles cheerleaders — Chastity, Michaelann, Erica Nicole, and Danielle — will be at Lucy the Elephant in Margate from 1-3pm Saturday, July 20, signing autographs and taking photos with friends and guests as part of Lucy’s 132nd birthday celebration. Visit Lucy’s Web site, LucyTheElephant.org, for more on this.
