Similarly, the action off the court is sizzling as well. Although mother nature may not be displaying signs of warm spring weather, the Energee! Dancers are ready to put the cold winter weather in the rear view mirror.

Energee! will be unveiling their 2013 Energee! Spring Sizzle Swimsuit Poster on Thursday, March 28 prior to the Bucks vs. Lakers game outside Section 211. It was a long day for hopefuls, who had to endure two rounds of cuts.

Eagles Cheerleaders did not have to audition on Saturday. They assisted with the auditions, but any cheerleader you see in uniform is attempting to try out again.

Decades later that hasn’t changed one bit, nothing says Las Vegas more than those pink feather clad beauties strutting their stuff on a glittered stage! The spectacle comes at the price of hard work and dedication though, while the show-girls outfits can weigh in sometimes near 50 pounds, it’s obvious some extreme training goes into making the girls under the feathers shine like the sun!

Why not just ask Nicole Hamilton of VEGAS! the Show!? She will tell you right off the bat being a showgirl is not easy, and seeing as how Nicole holds 8 years of professional cheerleading under her belt, that’s saying something! Yep that’s right, Nicole is one of the main faces of the show and for good reason, having cheered not only for the Dallas Mavericks Basketball team, Nicole is also part of the 5 year veteran of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleading squad!

While the passion for cheerleading came a little later in life, the passion for dance was something that started from as early as Nicole can remember. When she was fresh out of high school she caught wind of a Dallas Cowboys cheerleading tryout, unfortunately she didn’t get the spot but being the first time she ever tried out it was an inspirational moment that motivated her to make her way to be the best. A few weeks later she learned about the Dallas Mavericks Basketball team holding cheerleader tryouts as well, Nicole immediately set her sights on this new challenge and within the next couple months, trained and landed the spot!

After three years with the Mavericks Nicole looked back to her first tryout with The Cowboys, she managed to land the spot on the Cowboys and for the next 5 years would be part of the most prestigious cheerleading club in the entire world! During her time with the Dallas Cowboys, Nicole managed to give back in some very big ways, touring with The USO military show across the world. Loving the fact she has the ability to bring a smile to people’s faces, Nicole claims her time with the USO not only made her smile, but really let her feel accomplished while giving back to her country and community!

While with The Cowboys, Nicole managed to work her way up to team captain, and even made a pro-bowl appearance which includes only the most elite cheerleaders from around the country. With all these accomplishments its fitting Nicole would look to Vegas for the next phase of her career, having been part of two of the county’s best sports franchises and boasting the looks of an A-list international model, its natural she take the stage as a lead dancer right? Exactly, so don’t miss your opportunity to see the lovely Nicole Hamilton do what she does best along with some of the best talent Sin City has to offer, pick up your tickets to “VEGAS! the Show” today and catch a glimpse of this Cheerleading Vet with your own two eyes!

Congratulations to the 11 Finalists! The winner will be announced this Friday!

From New York to Mumbai The Gotham City Cheerleaders will be performing for 2 months in India on set of the IPL’s sports show “Extra Innings”

New York, New York, March 25, 2013 — For the first time in sports entertainment history, New York cheerleaders will travel to Mumbai, India to perform during the country’s two month cricket season. Their goal is to bring the glamour, talent and professional cheerleading and dance experience of traditional American football to the centuries old game of cricket.

The Gotham City Cheerleaders (GCC) will perform on the popular sports network of the Set Max channel, Extraa Innings, an ESPN-type of sports coverage including game analysis, commentary, celebrity appearances and of course, professional cheerleading. The GCC will be performing on set as well as at various promotional locations, including the stadium, community outreach projects and marketing appearances in an effort to continue to build the brand of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the second largest sports brand on the globe.

In the past, the IPL experience has been extended to NFL cheerleaders such as the Miami Dolphins and the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders. This year paves the way for New York City to travel abroad and continue to spread the prestigious tradition of American cheerleading to the IPL’s cricket season.

“Having the opportunity to follow the steps of fellow pro cheer teams to represent the class and glamour that American cheerleaders bring to sports entertainment is a true compliment. We are honored have been selected out of hundreds of talented woman in our industry and we will represent our team, our city and the cheer world with pride, while bringing to Mumbai the powerful and unique talent found in NYC,” said GCC 2 year veteran, Sarah Friedson.

The Province

They promise to have some of the best moves in the CFL.

But before the 2013 version of the B.C. Lions Felions Dance Team gets their spot on the sidelines, the squad has to be picked.

About 80 young women spent Sunday at the annual tryouts for the dance team.

According to dance team co-ordinator Alexandra Severyn, the tryouts are designed to help them identify those best suited for the 34 spots available.

Severyn said Sunday was the big day for the talent to show their stuff. They will make a short list from the day’s auditions, and then make the final selection after a series of interviews Wednesday evening. By Thursday she said the dance team will be finalized.

Severyn said they are looking for women who are great dancers, in great physical shape and have a lot of enthusiasm.

With Sunday’s first cuts from the list of 80, Severyn said emotions ran high.

“Some girls have already left because they can’t dance under pressure,” she said.

Once the team is picked, they will be on the sidelines for all the Lions’ home games, go to charity events and model for the annual swimsuit calendar.

Many of those trying out have a background in high school cheerleading, with others a background from dance school.

Many members of last year’s squad plan on returning to the Felions. “We have 25 returning but it doesn’t mean they automatically make the team,” Severyn said.

For 21-year-old Mariah, who was on the team last year, the hard work to make the squad was well worth it. “It was the best experience I have ever had,” she said.

“There are so many great girls here. There is so much competition but it is a friendly competition.”
