Zakiya Alta Lee always had the gift to dance and never stops moving! This love for movement led to her acceptance into the prestigious Florida State University School of Visual Arts and Dance. After only 2 years at FSU, Zakiya was given a scholarship to train at the acclaimed Dance Theatre of Harlem in New York.
After receiving a BFA degree in dance and a minor in business Z was invited to join the NBA Atlanta Hawks dance team eventually becoming a team captain and coach for the Jr. Hawks dancers.
Z’s talents were soon noticed by the Atlanta community, and she was offered the opportunity to coach the Georgia Generals Cheerleaders (a Semi-Pro football team). Many of her ladies went on to cheer and dance for other professional dance companies and teams; most notably the Atlanta Falcons.

With the rumor mill up an running about a possible Rams return to Southern California, thought I’d dig out this old clip of the LA Rams Cheerleaders, The Embraceable Ewes, appearance on C*H*I*P*S. Look for actress Jennilee Harrison.
