Ultimate Cheerleaders

2009-celtics_brandy3smNot that I don’t care about you New England girls, but those of you in California and New York need more advance notice. Obviously if you are chosen for the team, you’ll have to relocate, and that’s a big deal. But you know what else is a Big Deal? Dancing at NBA finals. And if you (and the Celtics) play your cards right, it could be YOU out there on the hardwood, this time next year. Close your eyes and picture it. The lights! The music! The roar of the crowd! And you, right smack in the middle of it, in a sparkly green tutu. (Ok maybe not a tu tu. Not that there’s anything wrong with tu-tus, but I’ve never seen a Celtics Dancer in one.) Strike the tu-tu. There you are, in a sea of shamrock green, smiling so hard your face hurts. Can this really be happening??

Well, no. It’s not happening.

Ok it IS happening, but not to you.

Yet.

Every year, in addition to the local open call, Marina Ortega, Director of the Celtics Dancers takes the preliminary audition to New York and Los Angeles, in search of the best of the best. The Celtics are the only NBA team that offers this opportunity. If you’re a dancer, you reallllly ought to consider it. They’re serious about finding strong, talented, kick-ass dancers, and every year, they find a few out-of-towners who fit the bill. See Exhibit A: the 2009 squad. Almost half of them are from somewhere other than Massachusetts.

I could go on, if you want me to. Do you want me to?

Boston is an extremely cool place. There’s a lot to see and do, autumn is beautiful, there are tons of people your age, and the natives talk funny. On the days when you don’t have rehearsal or a game, there’s plenty to amuse you. For instance, they have a little boat on the harbor where you can dress up like a colonist and throw boxes of tea overboard.

Good times, people. Good times. And it could all be yours. Don’t be afraid of a little sleet and snow.

alexieagdeppa

In past years, the cast of Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” has included alumnae from teams like the Knicks City Dancers and Miami Heat Dancers. This year another NBA alum made it to finals this season, continuing the tradition. Former Laker GirlAlexie Agdeppa auditioned for the show several times before finally making it on to season 7. Stay tuned to see if her two seasons with the Lakers (2003-05) and other extensive dance experience will carry her through to the end. Good luck Alexie!

Calendar Crew Departs Sun-Kissed Aruba
New York Jets
6/5/2010

MEREDITH

Hi, Jets fans!!! I’m in beautiful Aruba with the gorgeous Flight Crew! I am so excited to tell you all about my amazing day! My photo shoot was surreal. It was at the beautiful Tierra Del Sol, a resort with a golf course, pool with a waterfall and simply amazing homes.

For my actual photo shoot I was standing about four feet off the ground on a rock ledge with a gorgeous tree which had bright orange flowers on it. I truly had an amazing time. I really do not even have words to explain how wonderful my day was!

I also have to tell you guys how wonderful the whole crew has been. Our makeup artists and hairstylist are a dream team — they truly do amazing work! The photographer and his crew are so great. They really make you feel like a princess. I am so excited for all of you to see this calendar.

Thanks, Jets fans, for all your support. See you soon!

CRYSTAL

Hey, Jets fans!!! It’s Crystal and I’m relaxing by the pool at the gorgeous Marriott and Stellaris Casino here in Aruba after my first ever calendar shoot.

My day started bright and early with me getting my hair and makeup done at 6 a.m. I was so amazed once they were done and I was handed a mirror. “Is that even me?” It was a true transformation (in a good way). The makeup and hair staff were so awesome.

Once I was done, I was whisked away to my location at the California Lighthouse, which is a must-see landmark here in Aruba. Even though it was early, I was so excited to get started and hopefully deliver an awesome picture.

I started off a little nervous but Steve, the photographer, made me feel very comfortable and encouraged me to just let my personality shine through. So I took a deep breath and let go and made it happen. I got so into it that he even took several shoots of me jumping.

Overall it was one of the best experiences I ever had and I can’t wait for you Jets fans to see the final 2011 Jets Flight Crew Calendar. Till then, see you on the field.

ADELE

Hey, Jets fans! It’s Adele reporting from the beautiful island of Aruba! I just got back from my photo shoot at Arashi Beach and it was incredible!

After I finished getting my hair and makeup done by Alberto and Paul, I couldn’t believe how glamorous I looked. I barely recognized myself when I looked in the mirror! I asked them both for tips so that I could try to do my hair and makeup the same way. Of course it will never come out nearly as good as how they did it, though!

When I got to the location of my shoot, the excitement hit me all at once. I jumped out of the car with the biggest smile on my face. I walked into a rocky cove overlooking the water under a beautiful sky. I had to be escorted out there because the rocks were jagged and some of them were wobbly. I had to balance really well during my shoot because of how strong the wind was. If we had one really strong gust of wind I would’ve flown right over the side into the water. Good thing that didn’t happen!

It was a bittersweet moment when all was said and done. Steve is an incredible photographer and I am so excited to see how the pictures came out! Now I’m off to the pool to go soak up some sun! Stay tuned everyone! I’ll see you all soon! Cheers!

RYANN

Hey, Jets fans. It’s Ryann keeping in touch with you on our last night in Aruba!! We just finished our last shoot for the 2011 Swimsuit Calendar. I had the opportunity to shoot a sunset shot on the beach just outside our hotel. I can’t begin to explain how beautiful it was and how lucky I am to even be here!

The entire crew was absolutely amazing. The hair stylist and makeup artist were wonderful! Every girl was breathtaking during her shoot. Steve was incredible to work with and all the girls are psyched to see the Jets Flight Crew’s 2011 Swimsuit Calendar. See you on the sidelines!

LINDA

Hey, Jets fans, it’s Linda from the Flight Crew. We just got back from our amazing trip in Aruba for the 2011 Swimsuit Calendar shoot. It is very sad to be home, but we all had such a great time. I had my photo shoot on the last day of the trip along with Ryann and Ashley. We were the final sunset shots. Seeing each and every girl shoot day after day made me extremely pumped to finally have my chance to go.

3 p.m. finally came about and it was time for hair and makeup. Two hours later, I had no idea who the girl was staring back at me in the mirror. I had a super dramatic look going on. Dark, smoky eyes, bright red lips, and the best part of it all was the 22-inch-long ponytail that I had cascading down my back! I was honestly praying all week for the chance to be ponytail girl.

I shot on the beach at the resort at sunset. It was beyond beautiful. Ryann, Ashley and I kept swapping in and out of the frame so we could all catch the perfect natural backdrop. I got to take a sneak peak of some of the shots and was blown away!

This was an unforgettable experience and I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of it. Be sure to purchase the 2011 calendar ASAP. It is going to be a masterpiece!!

MANDISA

Hey, Jets fans! It’s Mandisa blogging my calendar shoot experience from Aruba. My day to shoot started at 7 a.m. in the hair/make-up chairs. After getting dolled up, myself and my fellow Flight Crew member, Jenniphure, headed to the beautiful Tierra Del Sol. It was such a great location for my shoot. I didn’t want it to end because I was having so much fun and the production crew made me feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. We even found a bunch of exotic flowers to add to my shots — they were absolutely beautiful!

I’m sure by now you all must be anxious to see the photos! I promise you will not be disappointed! Thanks for reading and I’ll see you on the field! Go Jets!

ASHLEY

Con ta bai, Jets fans! Greetings from Aruba! It’s Ashley from the Flight Crew. I’m here on the plane waving goodbye to the breathtaking island of Aruba but holding on tight to the memories I’ve gained from this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

I had a really fun and exciting ending to my trip. From my sunset photo shoot last night to catching some final sun rays this morning, to ending with a tubing adventure on the clear blue waters with Laura D.

After anticipating it the whole week, I was a part of the final photo shoot of the entire trip. My shoot was located right on the beach at the Aruba Marriott Resort at sunset. Ryann, Linda and myself were capturing the sunset in our shots, and in order to do so we took turns getting in front of the camera. Each one of us would shoot for five minutes at a time, then stand by and cheer on our fellow Flight Crew cheerleaders.

I really enjoyed shooting this way because it gave us each a moment to step away, get some feedback, and touch up any hair or makeup before getting right back in front of the camera.

Thank you so much for reading about my exciting time in Aruba, but it’s time for me to rest before the final descent to our home sweet home — New York! See you on the field!

JENNIPHURE

Jets fans, hey! It’s Jenniphure writing to you from sun-kissed Aruba. As I sit here on my balcony at the Aruba Marriott watching the sunset, I am still exhilarated from my photo shoot for the 2011 Swimsuit Calendar!

As I headed down to hair and makeup early this morning, my stomach was in knots. Alberto (the hair stylist) and Paul (the makeup artist) got right to work and within an hour I was transformed. When I first saw myself in the mirror, I had to hold back the tears. I could not believe that was me! Never have I felt so beautiful!

Before I knew it, I was off to Tierra Del Sol, the location for my shoot. I didn’t know much about the location before I got there, but when I walked through the gates the backdrop was exquisite! It wasn’t your typical beach scene, but it was amazing! I was wearing a blue, green and white swimsuit and they had me shoot next to a cactus — it was so unique!

My emotions were all over the place. I was super excited but also was beyond nervous because it was my first photo shoot. Once I got in front of the camera the positive energy and encouragement from Steve (the photographer) and his crew put me right at ease.

It was an incredible day! I can’t thank everyone involved in the shoot enough for making it such a great experience. As a rookie, it is an honor and a dream come true to be here shooting with all of these beautiful women. I can’t wait for the season to get started … see you on the field! Go Jets!!

Melissa Rycroft is returning to The Bachelor, but this time it’s as a host.

ABC has tapped the rejected The Bachelor bachelorette to co-host its Bachelor Pad spinoff, the network announced Tuesday.

“I’m excited,” Rycroft, who will co-host the series with Chris Harrison, told People.

“It’s fun. It’s a brand new experience for me. I’ve never been on that side but I’m anxious. I’m excited and ready to start.”

Bachelor Pad will feature 19 former contestants from The Bachelor’s 13 seasons and The Bachelorette’s five seasons living together in a Big Brother-style house and competing in a series of challenges — some of which are inspired by incidents from previous seasons of the reality dating series.

Each two-hour episode will conclude with evictions from the house and only one participant will take home the show’s $250,000 cash prize.

Bachelor Pad, which People reported has already started filming, will premiere Monday, August 9 at 8PM ET/PT.

Rycroft originally appeared as one of the bachelorette’s vying for Jason Mesnick’s heart on The Bachelor’s thirteenth season, which filmed in late 2008.

She got engaged to Mesnick during the taping of The Bachelor’s Final Rose Ceremony — but he later dumped her on-air in favor of runner-up Molly Malaney during a taping of the season’s After the Final Rose special.

While Rycroft decided to pass on the chance to serve as the star of The Bachelorette’s fifth season — causing the role to go to second runner-up Jillian Harris instead — she accepted an offer to join Dancing with the Stars’ eighth season as a last-minute replacement for injured Access Hollywood co-anchor Nancy O’Dell.

Rycroft subsequently finished third behind Gilles Marini and eventual champ Shawn Johnson.

Since then, Rycroft — who wed Ty Strickland in December — has worked as a correspondent for ABC’s Good Morning America, contributed to the network’s 2010 Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest broadcast, and also served as a special Entertainment Tonight correspondent.

The 2010 NBA Nation Tour recently stopped off at Universal Studios in Southern California, inviting fans down to participate in the fun with music, contests, and the opportunity to meet past NBA legends. Our two local NBA dance teams were also on hand to provide entertainment and excitement during the two-day event.

I stopped by the festivities on the second day of the LA stopover. Both dance teams were scheduled to appear that afternoon.

The Los Angeles Clippers Spirit appeared first, represented by Rhea, Recee, Brittany, Nicole, Teresa, and Melissa. The ladies came out around 3pm for a free-throw contest, performed two dances for the crowd, and signed autographs. (Click here for more Clippers Spirit photos)

After the Clippers Dancers, it was the Laker Girls’ turn. Katie, Octavia, Heather, Veronica, Richelle, and Dara took the court for two routines and signed autographs for the excited fans. (Click here for more Laker Girls photos)

NICOLE

Hey, Jet fans! It’s Flight Crew Cheerleader Nicole here, touching base from the beautiful island of Aruba!

It was such an honor to be part of this incredible experience, and I wish the new stadium was built right here in Oranjestad! I just wrapped up my shoot today. I was on location at Mangel Halto beach. The scenery was breathtaking and if the sun wasn’t so strong I would have stayed all day! As usual, the New York Jets have provided us with a top-notch crew, all of whom were amazing to work with. The Jets are a high-class organization and as a cheerleader I take so much pride in representing the green and white!

The ultimate goal of this trip is to put together the best NFL cheerleader calendar around, and we are making sure that happens. After all, the number one football team must have the best cheerleaders on the sideline, right? This calendar is going to be unbelievable.

See you back in New York! Go JETS!

JESSICA

Hey, Jets fans! It’s Jessica S! I am here in Aruba having a blast shooting our 2011 calendar. This is the most exciting thing that can ever happen in my life. I had my photo shoot today at Andicuri Beach. My bathing suit was a bright blue color and I had long curly hair. My makeup was done with a lot of gold colors. When I arrived at the location I was told I was going to shoot on a cliff! I was so excited that I was going to be standing on a coral cliff in front of the clear blue ocean.

I can’t describe how excited I was today shooting the calendar, and I hope all you Jets fans get the chance to experience what I did today by looking at all of the pictures. I am looking forward to the release of the 2011 calendar and the start of a new season!! J-E-T-S!!

JENN

Hey, Jets fans! It’s Jennifer! I’m on location in beautiful Aruba shooting the 2011 Flight Crew Swimsuit Calendar! I’m so honored to be a part of the most amazing experience of my life!

Today, after being treated like a princess getting my hair and make up done, I traveled about 30 minutes to a remote location called “The Cliffs at Andicuri,” where I posed in my black and white Zebra bikini in front of black rocks with waves crashing on the shore. It was so amazing and I can’t wait for all you fans to see it!

Looking forward to another great season! Thanks for all your love and support! See you at the games! Go Jets!!

LAURA D.

Hi, Jets fans! It’s Laura D in beautiful Aruba shooting the 2011 Swimsuit Calendar! It is an honor to be here and I am so excited to be a part of this amazing experience. Today was my photo shoot and it went great! I was at a location called Mangel Halto. To get into the area where I was shooting I had to walk through mangled tree trunks that looked like an opening to a cave. It leads to the ocean, and the shallow area near the trees was where I shot.

As we got started, a huge pelican landed behind me! We were trying to get him into my shot and all of a sudden he flew onto a branch right above my head! The photography crew told me to keep staying focused and they tried to keep the pelican in my shot! We ended up getting a few great photos with him and it was such an incredible experience.

I can’t wait to see how amazing the swimsuit calendar will be! See you back home!

JASMINE

Hey, Jets Fans! It’s Jasmine writing you all the way from Aruba. I want to first let you all know we are having a wonderful time and it’s such an amazing experience.

My day started off with hair and makeup, then I was off to my destination shoot with Jessica S and Danielle B, which was at the Andicuri cliff overhang. I started off my shoot under the cliff with the ocean in the view behind me! Then I also got some shots with me next to the cliff, which was so much fun. The location was perfect for my swimsuit and I really can’t wait for you all to see the 2011 Swimsuit Calendar.

See you all back in New York!! 1, 2, Flight Crew!!!

DANIELLE

Hey, Jets fans, it’s Flight Crew Cheerleader Danielle B. I’m sure you already know, but I’m blogging from one of the most beautiful places in the world … Aruba! If any of you have been here before, you know how amazing it is. Beautiful breeze, warm sunshine, and blue skies every single day!

Yesterday, I had my photo shoot for our 2011 Flight Crew Swimsuit Calendar, and I was lucky enough to get the chance to shoot on a beautiful destination off the resort. I got to shoot at what is called the natural bridge of Aruba — it’s actually a national landmark!

To get there, however, we had to go off-roading through the desert! There were cacti everywhere and I’ve never actually seen a real cactus in person so that was pretty cool!

When we finally got to the location, I was absolutely speechless at the site in front of me. A bridge of solid rock with water splashing up underneath was where I took my pictures. Steve, our photographer, gave me a sneak peek of what the pictures looked like and I was very excited when I saw them! I can’t wait to see the finished product because it is going to be the best calendar in the NFL!

Well, Jets fans, that’s all for now! Time to soak up the sun! See you all back at home! Go Jets!

ANNE-MARIE

Hey, Jet fans! Here I am on our 4th day in Aruba! I can’t even begin to tell you what an amazing trip this has been. I had my turn to shoot for our 2011 calendar yesterday. I woke up at 4 a.m. and had my hair styled at 5 followed by makeup. Let me tell you this crew is so wonderful and professional to work with.

We headed down to our location, which is called Mangel Halto. I shot in the archway of the tree roots which led to the ocean … I can’t even describe how incredible the location was!! Can we say exotic?!

Steve, our photographer, took amazing pictures as always. Every single girl that has shot so far has been so beautiful. You will not be disappointed in our new calendar!

Well, I’m off to enjoy the rest of the day and do some fun water sports. See you guys soon!

CHRISTIE

Hi, Jets fans! I am having a fantastic time in Aruba with the team. We are all working hard to create the most exotic and beautiful calendar for you! I absolutely loved the location I shot at yesterday. Initially we weren’t supposed to shoot at sunset but time was on our side and we ended up taking some really captivating pictures before the sun was gone for the day. Beneath me was black sand and rocks which photographed really nicely against my teal bathing suit.

I hope you all enjoy the final product once it hits the stands. I know we enjoyed the experience of this trip and we will remember the memories for a lifetime. See you on the field everyone! 1, 2, Flight Crew!

SAMANTHA

Hey, Jets fans, Samantha here. I am writing from the beautiful island of Aruba. Today was my shoot for the 2011 Swimsuit Calendar and words cannot describe how I felt. I started the day with my hair and makeup and I felt so glamorous!

After that, we made our way to my shoot location named “Natural Bridge.” I got to stand on top of the bridge that was naturally made and eroded throughout thousands of years. The view was incredible and I loved the wind blowing threw my hair. The crew made me feel so comfortable and I am so happy with the way everything went.

I can’t wait for the calendar to come out — it is going to be amazing! See you soon! Let’s go Jets!

Sporting that Texas star and rocking out in the new Cowboys Stadium, dozens of women auditioned for the Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue Dancers.

“We are the first all hip hop team in the NFL,” said Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue Dancers Director Jenny Durbin. “We are the only one currently and I have a blast with these girls. I’ve enjoyed being the director and choreographer.”

Along with a crew of judges for the auditions, fan votes helped determine the make-up of this season’s Rhythm and Blue squad.

“It was pretty exciting, especially that it was draft day so hearing all the new players and seeing who’s going to be on the Cowboys this year plus having us, the second season as the Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue Dancers,” said Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue Dancers Captain Anna Olvera.

With high hopes and high energy, these dancers, both veterans and newcomers, are thrilled to be part of a groundbreaking tradition. Many of the Rhythm and Blue Dancers were originally members the Arena Football League’s Dallas Desperados Dancers.

“You’ll actually see a lot of familiar faces on the team because the Dallas Desperados before they decided to not continue the AFL season, we ended up getting an opportunity to switch over into the Cowboys,” said Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue Dancers Assistant Shannon Telles.

Shannon Telles is now helping out with the team, but her sister Kristen Telles will be sporting the Rhythm and Blue uniform for the first time this year. Both sisters danced for the Desperados together for two years but the younger Telles wasn’t eligible to be a Rhythm and Blue dancer until she turned 21. Making the team is only half the battle Once on the squad, the hard work really begins. The dancers may have made the team, but the pressure is still on.

“A lot of memory and a lot of hard work,” said Durbin. “They are also introduced to their workouts which can be a lot of fun but a lot of hard work as well. It helps bring the team together as far as unity.”

The question remaining is how are these performers different than the established Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders?

“The main difference between the Rhythm and Blue Dancers and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is in the dance style,” said Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue Dancer Kristen Telles. “The Rhythm and Blue Dancers are big hip hop and real low to the ground movements.

With a new stadium comes new additions and traditions for the Cowboys and their dedicated fans. Check out who made the team when the Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue Dancers hit the field this fall at Cowboys Stadium.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans cheerleaders departed Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort this morning. After a productive week that included photo sessions with each of the 26 ladies, the squad began its nine-hour journey back to Nashville. The team bonding that took place throughout the week will only help the ladies get off to a strong start to the season!

The bus ride coming home was a little bit quieter. The extensive work load for the cheerleaders was tiring, and most of the ladies needed time for rest and relaxation. The Titans cheerleaders shot all their photos in two days, forcing efficiency and cooperation from everyone involved.

The Titans cheerleaders arrived back to Nashville around 6 p.m. Now back in town, they have little time to rest. The rookies and captains will go over dance routines on Saturday. On Sunday, their 2010 head shots will be taken with their uniforms.

With much production work to be done by photographer Eric Anderson, the 2010 swimsuit calendar will be available at the end of August and will debut with a calendar release party later that month. The Titans cheerleaders and fans are eager to see the calendar this fall. Stay tuned to Titans Online for additional information as it becomes available.

*Photos: Flight Crew Calendar Shoot*

DANIELLE C.

Hi, Jets fans! Danielle C. here from the Flight Crew. I’m on location in Aruba for the photo shoot and wanted to make sure to share this experience with all of you! Of course you already know the island is beautiful and the perfect spot for our calendar shoot. Every set location has been absolutely flawless, and all of the girls have been doing an excellent job.

Today I shot just feet away from the ocean beneath the overhang of a rustic cabana. It was gorgeous and I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing spot. I wore a simple light blue swimsuit, and the hair and makeup artists did an extraordinary job bringing everything together. I felt like a Caribbean princess.

Denise and the crew couldn’t have been more wonderful. I felt so comfortable, and it was absolutely amazing to have such talented individuals helping me along the way. I can’t wait to see the finished product and I know you will enjoy the calendar as much as we enjoyed making it!

BIANCA

This photo shoot has truly been one of the most exhilarating and surreal experiences of my life. I will try to make this blog as “Dear Diary” as possible to try and take you here with me and share my experience with you as best I can.

Upon getting to Aruba I felt like Dorothy having just landed in Oz. Everything is just so beautiful and perfect. I knew right away that what they had in store for our shooting locations would be stellar. At some point in the day we passed a beautiful little waterfall in the pool area of our resort and I wondered if anyone would get the chance to shoot there.

2010-jets-cal-trip_1Later at our team meeting I wondered how I got so lucky as I found out that the waterfall was my shooting location. I was ecstatic.

The next day I was in hair and makeup by 1 p.m. and was amazed by the artistry and genius that went into the stylists’ work as they put their visions into motion. By 2:45 I was walking out to my location, my heart beating out of my chest. My nerves were exacerbated 10-fold once I saw the audience that awaited me. Being that my shooting spot was a centralized and populated resort location, a lot of my teammates, hotel guests and hotel staff were all gathered to watch some of the shoot. But I took a deep breath, climbed onto the rocks and got ready for one of the best times of my life.

The shoot itself was a blast. I took some pictures standing on the rocks, standing on top of the waterfall, kneeling in the water, and at the end of the shoot I even got some pictures under the waterfall itself. It was so cool! In the beginning I was so nervous but Steve and Denise [Garvey] gave me great direction and I quickly became very comfortable, made it my own, and had so much fun with it.

I can’t begin to express my level of appreciation for being apart of this project. This was really an honor and I had a blast.

LAUREN P.

Hey, guys, it’s Lauren P. I’m writing to you from the balcony of my room in the Aruba Marriott. The weather has been amazing, from sunrise to sunset. I did my photo shoot yesterday for the 2011 Jets Flight Crew Swimsuit Calendar and I am still in shock about how amazing it went!

If I said I wasn’t nervous and having a slight anxiety attack before the whole process … I would be lying (LOL). Once I got into the hair and makeup rooms, I was immediately relaxed and it was smooth sailing from that point on.

My bathing suit was a mix of purple, blue, yellow and green (VERY tropical). The makeup artist (Paul) put a hint of purple and blue eye shadow on me to make my bathing suit really pop. Alberto (the hairstylist) gave me the whole sexy beach hair look. By the time they were done with me, I felt beautiful, sexy, confident and ready for my shoot.

My photo shoot took place in some tropical grass around palm trees outside the Marriott Resort. I have never done a photo shoot prior to this one and thought I was going to feel out of my element … boy, I was wrong! The photographer, Steve, and his crew were upbeat, positive and helpful. I felt completely comfortable with them and hope to work with them again in the future.

This whole experience has been above and beyond what I ever could have imagined!! I am so grateful for this opportunity. See you guys soon!

JACKIE

Hey, Jets fans, it’s Jacqueline from the Flight Crew Cheerleaders. I just had my photo shoot this morning in sunny Aruba for our 2011 calendar and it has been a great experience that I will never forget.

I woke up to my alarm at 4:45 am and for the next two hours I was pampered, getting my makeup, hair and wardrobe done for my morning shoot at the beach on the Marriott resort. I wore a multicolored swimsuit that went great with the setting. I loved posing for some of the pictures while splashing around in the water and walking on the sand.

The crew was amazing and everyone made me feel so comfortable during the shoot. I’m super excited for the outcome and I can’t wait for you guys to see the end result!

LAUREN Z.

Hi, Jets fans, it’s Lauren Z. from the Flight Crew Cheerleaders. We’re having an amazing time in beautiful Aruba, and I just had my photo shoot this morning for the swimsuit calendar. The location of my shoot was on the beach in between the divi divi trees, which are native trees to Aruba. It was so unique and complemented my leopard print bathing suit so well. My favorite shot was sitting on the tree with my hands on the branches.

I’m so thankful to have had a great experience on my photo shoot and can’t wait for the calendar to come out! See you back in New York.

MICHELE

Hey, Jets fans, it’s Michele from the Flight Crew down here in Aruba shooting our 2011 calendar. Laura V and I shot on the beautiful beach at sunset. The soft lighting and colors of the sky made the pictures look fantastic. The crew is so talented and they have done an amazing job making us look beautiful.

Today was a dream come true and I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity. I can’t wait for the calendar to come out, I’m so excited and you should be too! Go Jets!

LAURA V.

Hey, Jets fans, it’s Laura V from the Flight Crew I’m here in beautiful Aruba shooting for the swimsuit calendar. I had the opportunity to shoot at sunset in the water, which was amazing! The sunset was gorgeous and the water was super warm and crystal clear. I shot right next to a boat and Chris Pierce from the crew was actually in the water with me holding the boat so I didn’t sail away!

This was absolutely hands down the most wonderful day in my life. The hair and makeup crew make sure you look flawless before you step out in front of the camera and you feel like the most beautiful girl in the world!

AMANDA

Hey, Jets fans!! It’s Amanda from the Flight Crew Cheerleaders! I had my photo shoot this morning for the 2011 swimsuit calendar and it was an unforgettable experience! With a call time of 6 a.m., I was up bright and early at 4:45 getting ready to have an amazing day. After that I was off to hair and makeup, which every girl loves to get done, and I have never felt so glamorous!

My location was in the water with a rustic blue and white fishing boat, which perfectly complemented my All-American Girl blue-and-white-striped swimsuit. I enjoyed shooting in the water so much because the water is a beautiful bright blue here in Aruba, and it was a great day for a photo shoot! The crew was so positive and motivating,

I have never felt so comfortable in a swimsuit, much less shooting a calendar in one! It was such an incredible experience I didn’t want it to end. I still want to do it all over again! I can’t wait to see the out come of the 2011 Flight Crew Cheerleaders Swimsuit Calendar, and for the upcoming season!!

Go Jets!!!
