Jets Flight Crew Auditions: Semi-final Auditions
The semi-final round of the 2009-10 Jets Flight Crew Auditions was Sunday on the campus of Farleigh Dickinson University.
Jets Flight Crew Director Denise Garvey congratulates the semi-finalists on making it to this round.
Denise also taught the choreography on Sunday.
Hopefuls also learned a kick-line routine.
Jessica is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She came ease when she was awarded a full scholarship to Pace University where she is a Musical Theater major.
Dancers also showed off their splits.
Michelle was on the Pom squad at Towson University. She graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice and now works for the US Marshall’s Service in their Asset Forfeiture Division.
Michelle had to leave before cuts were announced. She had a surprise (not much a surprise now) bridal shower to attend. Michelle made it to finals anyway.
Almost everyone I talk to at auditions agrees: “Waiting is the worst part.” Here’s one way to pass the time.
Jessica and Alyssa are ecstatic on making it to Finals.
Lining up to schedule an interview. The Jets are conducting business-style interviews with the dancers this week.
The Semi-finalists will compete this Saturday with 2008-09 members of the Flight Crew for a post on the new squad. Finals are not open to the public, but I hope to be there and get a few photos.
