Photos of the Year – December 30
(As the year ends, we’re sharing our favorite photos from the past 12 months)
James has asked us to provide our favorite photo of the year and to describe why we chose it for publication. Well, here’s my choice.
This photo of Minnesota Viking Cheerleader Jeanne at the 2014 P-R-O Convention is one of my favorite photos of the year because I like the colors, the rich purple of her uniform and the yellow gold of her hair. It is a challenge to represent motion in a still photograph, but there are instances where you can capture a dance movement and immortalize it as a frozen moment in time. And I think this image of Jeanne comes close and for this reason, it is one of my favorite photos of the year.
