Ultimate Cheerleaders

Dolphins Debut Their International Cheer Members In Orlando

Imbedded in another great MDC squad are 12 young talented ladies from international cities performing as cheerleaders in their first NFL game. Pursuant to the great fan reception this innovative experiment is working just fine, congratulations to everyone.

Ultimate Cheerleaders had a pleasurable opportunity to chat in Orlando with Erica from San Paulo, Brazil and Yosy from Caracas, Venezuela at the nationally televised preseason Dolphins victory over the Falcons.

Erica--San Paulo, Brazil

Erica–San Paulo, Brazil

UC: Erica, tell UC the greatest part of your journey and opportunity so far.

Erica – Being part of the first international group of cheerleaders brought to the NFL and to represent my country here is one of the greatest things I could experience. It feels great to be one of the lucky hard worker ladies on this team! It’s a pleasure and I will cherish these moments forever!

UC: Do you have any family in South Florida? Any plans for home town family to visit for a game?

No, I don’t have family here but my fiancee is at the game!!!

UC: Do you see futebol americano supplanting your love and passion for soccer?

Not supplanting but finding it’s own place in my heart!

Yosy--Caracas, Venezuela

Yosy–Caracas, Venezuela

UC: Yosy, tell UC the greatest part of your journey and opportunity so far.

Yosy – So far I have met more than 40 wonderfully talented women and made some new friends for the rest of my life. I am engaging in very different training in comparison to anything I’ve done before. I learned a new language and I am improving my English. I am motivated for dancing and modeling but now in front of a new audience, in a different country, far from Venezuela and challenging myself to continue being a good entertainer.

UC: Do you have family in South Florida?

In Florida I have my godparents, their son and his wife. It makes me very happy. I am hoping to have them come to one of our games if they can arrange their schedules. I am sure they will go when they can.

UC: With the victory tonight how does it feel to be undefeated as a NFL Cheerleader?

So because I love languages and Spanish is not my principal language in USA, I am improving my English. If “undefeated” means that I have been chosen for the MDC team it feels very good: mission accomplished…but for sure I will be working on enjoying and improving every performance to keep that place I obtained after auditions and show that I deserved it every training/game day. If “undefeated” means that the Dolphins win every game on the field, it means more joy and more energy to cheer in every next game that we have to continue on to the Super Bowl.

UC: Great answer Yosy, I like your definition better than Mr. Webster’s. Thank you to Erica and Yosy.

Personally I have always viewed the beauty of the ladies selected as Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders to be top shelf but now with the international expansion they have earned the right to use the following hashtag to describe the MDC squad:    #WorldClassBeauty

Enjoy the photos of the International Cheerleaders and check back with us later this week for our entire game album of the 36 member Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders.
