Ultimate Cheerleaders

Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders Announce 2017 Auditions!

From the MVC:

If you are outgoing, a terrific spokeswoman, a great role model, love the Minnesota Vikings and can confidently represent the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders, then we want you!

When you think of The Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders you probably picture the women performing on the field at Minnesota Vikings home games. But the MVC are so much more than that. The MVC are an integral part of the total NFL fan experience at U.S. Bank Stadium. The MVC have traveled around the world to meet with football fans. They have spread Skol spirit throughout Vikings country, at the Pro Bowl in Hawaii, at NFL games abroad, and at military bases stateside and overseas. You don’t need to be a dancer to be a part of the MVC and have the experience of a lifetime. We have both Dancer and Ambassador positions to fill on our team for the upcoming 2017 season. Spread the word and invite your friends to audition with you.

With the high demand for the MVC, we expanded our team in 2016 and now have two equally important, but different roles for you to choose from. The two roles allow us to broaden our presence on game day and in the community, as well as provide greater opportunity for women to participate. The MVC Dancers will focus on dance/cheer performances on the field on game day. The MVC Ambassadors will be active during all home games visiting Suites and Club areas at U.S. Bank Stadium, visiting fans in the Fan Zone, rallying on Medtronic Plaza, and being available for the photos and interactions fans love so much!

Open auditions for both positions will be on the same day, so whether you are a dancer or ambassador candidate, everyone auditions on April 2, 2017.  Don’t know which direction you want to go yet? Read on for more information about each role and the tryout process.

Tryouts for the MVC Ambassadors may include: interviews, personal introductions on the mic, panel discussions, photoshoots, spokesmodel presentations, etc. Ambassadors will need to do some “hitting the crowd” and cheering, however, no dance/cheer experience is required – we will teach you how to do this during the audition. The time commitment for this Ambassador position will include all home games, practice one to two nights a week, appearances that vary – but are flexible in the scheduling – plus other team meetings/photoshoots, etc.

Tryouts for the MVC Dancers may include: learning and performing MVC choreography, technical dance skills, a dance solo, “hitting the crowd” and cheering, interviews, personal introductions and photoshoots. The time commitment for this Dancer position will include all home games, three weekly practices, appearances that vary – but are flexible in scheduling – plus other team meetings/photoshoots, etc.
