Jacksonville Jaguars Celebrate 25th Anniversary With Homecoming Weekend
Went up to Jacksonville to cover the Saints versus Jags. Unfortunately for the home team the Saints marched out of town with a close 13 to 6 win.
This year the Jaguars are playing in their 25th season in the NFL. This homecoming weekend was also one part of Jaguars NFL 100 Fantennial celebration. The Jags welcomed home over 80 members of the Jaguars Legends community to celebrate. About 175 alumni cheerleaders also attended.
Special recognition of the 1995 inaugural season team was honored during pregame ceremonies. The ROAR alumni gave a very well synchronized dance performance which was then followed by the Air Force fly over. Never gets old saluting that!
At halftime, the Jags celebrated 25 years of Jaguar legends with a special introduction of the Jaguars All-25 as voted on by the local media. The players were escorted on the field through a Teal tunnel of ROAR alumni.
Between multiple activities we chatted with Christy Stechman Zynda, Director of Branded Entertainment, who said ” this is my 22nd season with the team, and to be able to see cheerleaders I cheered with and those I have directed was wonderful! There are so many special memories. It was so nice to get everyone together to celebrate this exciting milestone for our team!”
The Jaguars are a very high class organization, the wins will come.
Enjoy the photos.
