Years on the Laker Girls squad: 2

Area of Residence: Moreno Valley, CA

College/High School: Valley View High School/ University of California Riverside (UCR)

What prompted you to want to become a Laker Girl?:
I have always loved dancing and enjoyed watching sports, especially the Lakers. Combining both of my passions has been a long time dream of mine!

What do you think stood out to the judging panel, about you, regarding your audition?:
I feel that “Confidence” is key when auditioning! I smiled as much as possible and kept a positive attitude throughout the audition. I believe it helped keep my confidence level up.

What do you think makes a good Laker Girl?: Being a very well-rounded person. Not only are we expected to have a high level of dance ability, but as a Laker Girl, it is critical to be a good role model as well. We do this by helping out in the community and possess a positive attitude when we are out in the public. In addition, we should feel comfortable with public speaking and have the ability to work well with others. In other words, be a good team member! Being a good Laker Girl takes good time management, intelligence, ambition to always strive to be better, and of course…..a love for the Los Angeles Lakers team and fans!

What is your dance experience?: I have been dancing since I was about 4 years old and I have training in ballet, pointe, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, swing, flag, drill, etc….. In addition, I have been a dance instructor at a dance studio, danced for the Inland Empire 66ers, the Los Angeles Clippers, and now, the Los Angeles Lakers.

Favorite dance routine, while being a Laker Girl?: My favorite routine while being a Laker Girl is one that we perform to the song “In the Mood.”

Favorite uniform?: My favorite uniform is a two piece “purple mesh” uniform. The bottom is a skirt with ruffles and rhinestones!

Favorite Lakers Player(s)?: My favorite Lakers players are Kobe Bryant and Shannon Brown.

Favorite Laker Girl memory so far?: My favorite memory as a Laker Girl would have to be when the Lakers won the championship in 2010 against the Celtics at game 7!

What do you like most about being involved, as a Laker Girl, at local charity/community events?:
It is such a nice feeling to be able to help out in the community! I love the interaction that we have with the fans, and witnessing the true excitement on everyone’s face when we get to meet them.

What would you say is your beauty secret?: Be confident and always wear a smile!

What diet/workout tips do you have?:
As far as diet is concerned, I would say that it is important to limit your portions while eating and include as much fruits and vegetables in your daily intake every day! As for working out, I know I try to do cardio 4-6 days per week. (whether it is at the gym, being outdoors, hiking, swimming, bicycling, or walking my dog) I guess, I would tell everyone to try to find a workout that one really enjoys – so you will keep up with it and want to work out more often!

What are your Hobbies?: Aside from dancing – I enjoy hiking, swimming, painting, reading, fishing, yoga/pilates, and cooking.

Career aspirations?: I am currently in school working towards a degree to then become an elementary school teacher.
