Bucs Cheerleaders Season Debut
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders are led by Director Cathy Boyd and Manager Melissa Fitzgerald. In their performing days Cathy was a Pro Bowl cheerleader for the Bucs and Melissa received the same honor for the Cowboys. These young women and their cheerleaders work very hard at their craft—-there is no longer an off season in the NFL organizations. Culmination of effort for the TBBC came together at the first pre-season home game against the Titans on a hot humid night in Tampa. Although I don’t have a trained artistic eye, I do know that I liked what I saw on Friday night. Synchronization during performances was excellent. Very visually impressive group of young ladies, they received a warm and appreciative response from the 45,000 plus crowd. Hopefully the stadium will be sold out and rockin’ for the September 9th opener against the Panthers. These gals represent the Buccaneers and NFL very well.
Friday’s halftime showcase featured 375 smiling junior cheerleaders performing with their role models. the Dance Mom’s rooted them on from the sideline. Impressive show considering the logistics required. The Bucs do a nice job with the young fans.
The TBBC squad consists of 34 cheerleaders split between 17 rookies and 17 vets, all successful in their chosen profession or school of study. Props go out for the many community initiatives and charity work that these ladies perform in the Tampa Bay area. Opening game seats are still available, come out and see the talented beauties of Tampa as the Buccaneers beat up the kitties from Charlotte—September 9th.
