Photos of the Year – December 26
Between Christmas and New Year’s we are showcasing the year’s favorite photos from our contributors.
I’ve been fortunate in the past year to be able to shoot a lot of pictures that I can be proud of. I’ve gotten a lot of good portraits and not near enough good action shots, but this is the shot that’s gotten the most positive feedback. The “hair flip” is something you see dozens of times during a game, but rarely do you see a cheerleader smiling during it. I like the way the Hawkette’s hair colors and the background work. It was described as looking “like a cheerleader Benetton ad”.
