The ROAR of The Jacksonville Jaguars
Last Sunday I spent the afternoon following around the beautiful and talented cheerleaders of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Things got a little “photography problematic” when a nasty cold drizzle invaded during the second quarter. No problem to these young ladies as they quickly broke out their rain gear. Does dancing in the rain make cheerleaders prettier? Yes it does!
The Jags theme at the Texans game was “Salute to Service” and the ROAR worn their camouflage tops to honor all U.S. Service members. Military veterans were introduced to the crowd in acknowledgement of the December 7th Pearl Harbor anniversary. Bless them.
The ROAR roster has 34 cheerleaders and 28 gals performed on the field for this game. Most members are students but many other professional occupations are also represented. The ladies perform at nine games at EverBank field and also travel to London for the NFL International Series. Cheer routines on Sunday’s game against the Texans included pre-game midfield and two additional end zone dances during the quarter breaks.
The Jags at EverBank Field are very spectator friendly and the ROAR are out on the fan entertainment plaza two hours before kickoff signing autographs and posing with their fans. Besides game day activities, the ROAR also make over 300 combined performances out in the community during the year.
Each season some 250 young girls participate in the Junior ROAR program The cheerleaders teach dance skills and team building which culminate in a halftime production at a game. Very popular program.
Final home game will be a Thursday Night Football contest against the rival Titans. Tickets are available, come on out and meet the ROAR. Pick up the sexy swimsuit calendar photographed in the British Virgin Islands. Beautiful cover shot of Jenna.
Much appreciation to Director Christy Stechman Zynda and her staff for the hospitality given so Ultimate Cheerleaders could present these classy Jacksonville goodwill ambassador ladies.
Enjoy the photos.
