A couple of weeks ago, I shared a photo entitled “D.C. Women of Color” and that was a product of previous group photo of all the D.C. Cheerleaders that were in attendance at the P-R-O Convention…apparently they are pretty tight between both squads. So today, I want to share with you that photo featuring all the lovely ladies from our nation’s capital.
I may have mentioned this before, but one of my favorite cheerleading squads to photograph is the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders. I love road tripping out to Phoenix to catch a Cardinals game. And it’s a positive that they play in a modern stadium that has great sight lines and it just so happens that they drafted a talented QB, Josh Rosen, from my alma mater, UCLA. So you can say, I like the Cards and the AZCC and I guess I’ll have to make the journey back to the Valley of the Sun next season for some Sunday fun.
Our next 2018 P-R-O Convention All Star is a third year member of the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders and is originally from Friendswood, Texas…introducing Ashley.
Only a few more left, so check back soon to see the 2018 P-R-O Convention All Star. And for more cheerleader articles, please visit my personal blog: thehottestdanceteam.wordpress.com.

There were many dance teams in attendance at the P-R-O Convention and I try to photograph as many dancers from as many teams as I can, given the limited amount of down time. And this year, I was able to get some quality time with one of the Charlotte CheckMates…introducing Jennifer, a 2018 P-R-O Convention All Star.
There are only a handful left, so check back tomorrow to see who is our next P-R-O Convention All Star. For more cheerleader articles, please visit my personal blog: thehottestdanceteam.wordpress.com.
The Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders brought one of the largest teams to the 2018 P-R-O Convention and this year, there were a lot of new faces. So when there was a lull in the dance instruction, the AZCC gathered on the stage to take a group photo and I took advantage to showcase the entire squad that came to Atlanta.

There is a new sense of optimism in the Valley of the Sun. With the number one overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft, the Phoenix Suns selected a potential franchise changing player in Deandre Ayton, the former five star prospect from the University of Arizona and the consensus top overall draft prospect. It is hoped that he will evolve into a difference making pro player and one that will stick around after his initial rookie contract expires. Having played his high school and college ball in the area, Ayton might prefer to stay at home instead of shopping his services around to the highest bidder. So things are definitely looking up in the Valley of the Sun.
And with the advent of this year’s dance team auditions, there is a renewed sense of optimism as well for those of us who enjoy the game day entertainment. Every year, a new group of dancers courageously give it their all with the hope of making the cut and securing one of the coveted spots on the Phoenix Suns Dance Team. And I was there for a portion of the proceedings.
This was the sixth time that I have made the trek from Los Angeles to Phoenix to cover the Suns Dancers auditions. Having photographed two games with Phoenix Suns, I can tell you that the dance team is an integral part of the game day experience, so I was excited to renew my relationship with the organization and to see the new crop of hopefuls and the returning veterans.
