Sideline Prep is holding its Annual Pro & Semi Pro Cheer and Dance Workshop, which promises to be a fun learning opportunity! It is open to ALL dancers and cheerleaders – at any level (at least 18 years of age).
Last year we had over 140 ladies in attendance and received overwhelming positive feedback!
Day 1 is all learning/dance and Day 2 (half day) is an OPTIONAL bonus mock audition: January 27th & 28th!
Pro Cheer/Dance Coaches and Directors will be teaching and/or answering questions at the workshop on Day 1:
- Maigan Pechnik (Former Washington Redskins Cheerleaders Captain, Swimsuit Calendar Cover Model, and Pro Bowl Cheerleader)
- Megs Early (Former Washington Redskins Cheerleaders, Current WRC Sideline Assistant, and current Sideline Prep Technique Coach)
- Derric Whitfield (Current Dance Team Manager and Choreographer for the Washington Wizard Girls, Baltimore Brigade Dancers & the Washington Valorettes)
- Liz Guaraldo (Former WRC and Current Director for the Baltimore Blast Cheerleaders) &
- Kelly Allen (Former Washington Wizards Dancer and WRC Captain and Current Coach for the Richmond Roughriders)
It’s a great opportunity for you to dance with and learn from other professional dance teams and ask questions of the Coaches and current Pro Cheerleaders. In addition, you will walk away with routines and sidelines to use!

The New York Lizards Dance Team is casting talented woman for the 2018 MLL Season. Dancers will perform at all MLL New York Lizards home games at Hofstra University and represent the NY Lizards at events and promotions. Seeking females, 18+, who are versatile dancers with a strong technically trained background in jazz and hip hop, etc.; trained in executing choreography with precision; dancers who exude professional performance quality; articulate, well-spoken, and confident women to represent the NY Lizards brand. Director states: “At the audition, there will be guest judges, a celebrity choreographer, and a representative from MMG-NY.”

Callbacks: Sunday, February 11th from 12:00-3:00pm.
Required Attire: A two-piece form-fitting outfit is mandatory.
No baggy clothes. Please wear FULL performance make up. Dance or athletic shoes (no black soles).
Requirements: All dancers must be available Wednesday nights for rehearsals in midtown NYC and have a flexible schedule for games and appearances during the season.

Prior to the audition, we will be holding 2 Pre-Audition Clinics. You will learn choreography straight from the field from the NY Lizards Dancers. The first clinic will be held on Saturday, January 27th (12pm-2pm) at Pearl Studios 519 8th avenue, 12th Floor (Studio G) New York, NY 10018. The second clinic will be held on Sunday, February 7th (7pm-9pm) at Pearl Studios 500 8th avenue, 12th Floor (Studio 1215) New York, NY 10018. $45 per clinic or $80 for both clinics.

Additional Instructions: For the Saturday, February 10th open call, registration begins at 11:30am (Studio 1210) The open call audition will begin promptly at 12pm. Select dancers from the open call will be invited to attend callback auditions on Sunday, February 11th.
