The Denver Broncos hosted the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 13 in a divisional battle that was largely a battle for pride and bragging rights. And that battle was won by the Denver Broncos who kicked the game winning field goals as time expired in a somewhat controversial fashion.  A late pass interference call gave the ball to the Broncos on the Charger’s 35 yard line with 3 seconds remaining on the clock.  That was enough time for Brandon McManus to kick the game winning field goal.

Final score: Broncos – 23, Chargers – 20.

This past Sunday, a funny thing happened at the Jaguars game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Quarterback Nick Foles was benched after turning the ball over on three consecutive drives and his coach, Doug Marrone, replaced him with Gardner Minchew, setting up a most untenable situation going forward.

It was announced this week that Minchew would be the starting quarterback for the remainder of the season and most likely the quarterback of the future.  Ironic, given the fact that the Jaguars signed Foles in the off-season to a rather large contract…which, given the recent events, makes you wonder…what is Foles future is in Jacksonville and why the Jaguars spent all that money on a QB, only to do this.

We continue our coverage of NFL Week 13 with the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders.  They were celebrating their Salute to Service game by wearing special commemorative uniforms.  Click here to view the Cardinals latest images.

Last week, the Kansas City Chiefs put a vicious beat down on their arch rivals, the Oakland Raiders, defeating them by a score of 40 – 9.  And it wasn’t event that closes as the Raiders scored their measly nine points in the fourth quarter, well after the outcome of the game was decided.  It was perhaps, the most lopsided game of the day.  Good for the Chiefs.

In Week 13 of the NFL regular season, the Cincinnati Bengals got their first win of the season by defeating the Jets.  If it is one thing we have learned this years, is that there are a handful of very good teams and more than a handful of really, really bad teams…rather strange at the disproportional bottom portion of a standard deviation bell curve of anticipated team wins and losses.
