Purple is my favorite color and I am naturally attracted to women wearing outfits with that pleasing mix of red and blue. I guess that’s one of the reasons why I really liked the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders and the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders. I doesn’t hurt that their girls were gorgeous and wearing some of the hottest outfits at P-R-O. Maybe that’s why I have some many photos of these lovely ambassadors of the NFL.
Color notwithstanding, I was very impressed with the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders and there was one that had the good grace to always stand near the front of the room so that I could get some great photos of her performing. She was an amazing dancer and looked spectacular in purple. In this episode, we recognize another exceptional cheerleader. Introducing 5 year veteran Alyssa, our latest 2013 P-R-O Convention All Star.
I am sure you’ll agree that purple is a very attractive color indeed! More amazing cheerleaders to come. Stay tuned.
I have been going to the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders auditions for the past several years and I always have a great time doing so. And every year, I look forward to seeing the new crop of girls that make the squad. I think there’s something refreshing and charming about the rookies and as I have said it before, it’s their bright eyed enthusiasm to everything new. I can relate. The first time I went to P-R-O, I was in awe of the all the beautiful cheerleaders, the amazing dance choreography and the energy that filled the room.
This year, there was one girl that stood out at the Cardinals Cheerleaders auditions. They say the judges are always looking for that girl that stands out. And our next 2013 P-R-O Convention All Star did so at auditions and at this convention. So without further ado, we would like to introduce our next honoree, rookie Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader Elisa.
An interesting note for baseball fans, Elisa is the daughter in law of former Arizona Diamondback Manager Bob Brenly.
Since I have been coming to P-R-O, I have been impressed with the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders. Great looking girls. Great looking uniforms. Vivacious performers. This year, I met a couple of rookie Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders who were excited to be on the squad and very excited to be at P-R-O representing the Purple People Eaters (am I dating myself?). So in this edition of P-R-O Convention All Stars, we turn our attention to another bubbly blonde MVC rookie, Rachel…who even as a first year cheerleader, made a lasting impression.
For the past two years, I have covered the St. Louis Rams auditions for UltimateCheerleaders.com. It’s a great gig. The girls are amazing. The show is fantastic. And I always seem to get great shots of the Rams Cheerleaders. So when they began attending P-R-O, I was excited because they have a great squad and I was looking forward to photographing them once again. And this year, they brought three captains with them, two of which I was able to photograph in more detail at their auditions. The one that got away was Holly and today we complete the trifecta by featuring this amazing cheerleaders as a 2013 P-R-O Convention All Star.
There were so many amazing cheerleaders and dancers at this year’s P-R-O Convention and we will continue to feature them here, for our readers and their fans.
The Seattle Sea Gals always bring a small, but spirited group of “gals” to the P-R-O Convention and I always enjoy photographing them for their distinctive west coast style. And they do have one of the more distinctive uniforms in the NFL and as you might imagine, I am a uniform kind of guy. So during a break in the action, I had a chance to photograph their entire contingent and today, we feature Shelly, who according to her online bio, is entering her 10th year as a Seattle Sea Gal. And if this is the case, this may make her the most senior cheerleader at P-R-O. So for her longevity in the uniform, Shelly is a 2013 P-R-O Convention All Star.
We still have many more amazing cheerleaders to feature…I guess that’s what you get when you are covering a convention of more than 300 professional cheerleaders. Stay tuned to see who is next.
The Houston Texans brought perhaps the largest contingent cheerleaders and that’s no surprise as one of the principals of All Pro-3 is the Texans Director Alto Gary. And this year, she has assembled a great group of cheerleaders and one of them who was gracious enough to pose for me was Lesha, whose model good looks really stood out. And for this, she is a 2013 P-R-O Convention All Star.
On Friday, James and I were having dinner over at the Atlanta Hilton and we ran into a group of three Jacksonville Axe Maidens. They were sitting over at the next table to us and we both figured that they were here for the P-R-O convention because any group of beautiful, young women we saw were pretty much cheerleaders or dancers. And James may have recognized them since he has some familiarity with the squad and has actually photographed them in the past. Anyway, this group of young women were very personable and quite accomplished. At least two of them, if I recall correctly, were in Jacksonville working on advanced graduate degrees, which just goes to show you that these dancers are more than just a pretty face. They are goal oriented individuals who just happen to be exceptional dancers.
And one of these goal oriented, talented individuals was Carolyn of the Jacksonville Axe Maidens…our next 2013 P-R-O Convention All Star.
I first met Chelsey five years ago at the 2009 Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders auditions. It was my first audition and I felt like a fish out of water being that I was the only man amongst over 200 girls. But during some down time for judging, I did get a chance to chat up Chelsey and a couple of other girls in her group and I felt more at ease. She has a very warm and engaging personality and we chatted over some small talk. Now something as simple and talking with a stranger and presenting yourself in a very personable way is an important aspect of becoming a professional cheerleader. A very important aspect. And since then, we’ve had some nice conversations over the years at these events…like will Carson Palmer be the second coming of Kurt Warner.
Chelsey, like the other cheerleaders we feature here, is an amazing dancer and has a special personality that shines on the sidelines or at a dance convention. It’s an added plus that she as nice as they come. So for these reasons, Chelsey is our latest 2013 P-R-O Convention All Star.
We continue our coverage of the P-R-O Convention All Stars with Baltimore Ravens Cheerleader Megan. Over the past two conventions, the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders have attracted my attention with their amazing presence and eye catching uniforms. And there were several Ravens Cheerleaders who made a lasting impression and we will feature them in the future. For now, we recognize Megan, who cuts an impressive figure on the dance floor as well as in front of the camera.
I think I mentioned previously that the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders looked very impressive in their purple uniforms. They stand out in a sea of cheerleaders not only because their uniforms are distinctive, but because their cheerleaders are noteworthy. And while I was photographing the two bubbly blonde rookie cheerleaders, I could not help be see out of the corner of my viewfinder that one MVC veteran was assisting the rookies in posing. I figured that if this vet was so illustrative of the proper posing technique, that I should probably turn my attention to her. And I was right. That veteran Minnesota Viking Cheerleader was Pam and she is a 2013 P-R-O Convention All Star.
