The Carolina Panthers hosted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to lead off Week 2 of the NFL regular season. From the following photos, it appeared that it was quite wet on that Thursday night, but I am sure the people of the North Carolina are quite used to that. But anytime the cheerleaders, who get all gussied up for their appearance, endure wet and rainy conditions, I applaud them for their efforts. The Manly Seabirds are the longest and the most recognized cheerleading squad in Australia’s NRL and, if you ask me, have that traditional glamorous and sexy NFL cheerleader look. Well done, Manly Seabirds.
The Jacksonville Jaguars ran into a buzz saw in Week 1 in the shape of the Kansas City Chiefs, who picked up from where they left off last year. Well, that was the bad news. The Oakland Raiders opened the regular season at home in what may have been the final Monday Night Football game in Oakland. Raiders fans were treated to a solid performance by Derek Carr and the rest of the boys in black as they defeated the Denver Broncos 24 – 16.
