The NFL is deeply committed to Salute to Service, the league’s year-round effort to honor, empower, and connect with our nation’s service members, veterans, and their families. No team does it any better at every game than the Miami Dolphins.
All five military branches were represented at Sunday’s rivalry victory over the New York Jets. 100 active duty members from each of the five branches of the United States Military were welcomed. In addition, 100 retired military members were invited and honored.
The military family of the game were the Kirkland’s (Joshua and spouse Adjovi) who both served in the United States Army. After multiple deployments they are now recruiters for the Army in Miami. Both are Staff Sergeants and attended the game with daughter Isadora.
In partnership with the Vietnam War Commemoration, the Dolphins gave thanks William Peraza Sr. for his 1968-1970 service.
The Dolphins saluted Everyday Hero Leonard J. Segarra, USMC Retired, who flew over 110 missions supporting Marines and Army troops.
Later on in the season we will try to chat with the cheerleaders over their many trips visiting overseas with our troops.

“The 2018 ANNUAL booklet captures the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders’ journey through the Caribbean aboard the MSC Seaside cruise ship. Inspired by the natural beauty of the islands, the cheerleaders photographed in their truest form, makeup-free, embracing their authentic selves to share stories of their personal journeys. Uncover the depth of beauty of the women of the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders, who, like the islands of the Caribbean, represent multi-faceted strength, diversity of talent, and spirited aspirations to lead by example.”
The theme of the Fashion Showcase this past Friday was express on three distinct cover versions: Joyful, Powerful and Beautiful.
Mariela Campuzano, our good friend of the Blog, was the writer for the ANNUAL and she did a great job in capturing the essence of the ladies feelings and comments.
The final scene of the show was titled Authentic and the below photos were from that runway walk. This is me!
