Ultimate Cheerleaders

Although the Buccaneers lost to the Tennessee Titans by four touchdowns the TBBC cheered all day to keep the sell out crowd in the game.

Our photo coverage starts out with second year Chelsea who is a line captain this season. Chelsea earned her Bachelor Degree from the University of South Florida. Her dance experience includes 4 years of professional performance at Tampa’s Busch Gardens.

Chelsea’s bio lists her Buccaneer highlights as “walking out of the tunnel for my first game was indescribable. The Ring of Honor game was amazing. Standing on the field, in the rain, while Mr. Brooks gave his appreciation speech will always be a great memory. Ending the season with 29 incredible women as my best friends was irreplaceable, and being named 2014 Rookie of the Year.”

Enjoy the photos, the next Buccaneer home game is October 4th versus the Panthers.

Traveled down to Miami to see the Bucs versus Dolphins final preseason game. Three good reasons to visit South Florida are the beaches, nightlife and to see beautiful women. Since I’m from Tampa Bay I don’t need the beaches, nightlife disappeared in my rear view mirror many moons ago so my main reason was to photograph the beautiful dancing Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders. Successful trip to visit these talented young women. Another impressive squad being managed by Jamie Quadrozzi.

Prior to the game I was able to chat with cheerleader Macy who is a line captain this year. Macy is in her fourth year and is Miss March 2016 in the soon to be released swimsuit calendar.

UC- Welcome Miss March. With your choice of career did you intimidate the “glam squad” on the calendar shoot?

1- Being that I am a hairdresser myself I totally have bonded with our glam squad! Having cosmetology in common is so neat and I love “talking shop” with them about all the products and techniques they are using. It’s our job as hairdressers to make everyone look beautiful so when I get the chance to be in the chair instead of behind it I take full advantage and let the girls work their magic!

UC- How exciting was it to be designated a Line Captain this year?

2- When my name was called to be a captain on this year’s team I was beyond excited! I have always dreamed of this position on the team and am so honored to be leading among the other captains. For the past three years I have looked up to and been inspired by wonderful leaders and teammates, I’ve promised to myself that I will uphold and continue on the MDC legacy.

UC- Tell us about your 4 year transition from the Chicago windburn to the Miami sunburn.

3- It’s crazy to think that I’ve lived in Florida for 4 years now, every warm day we have in January I think I’m exceptionally grateful. My whole family made the move to this sunshine state, which made it all the more exciting, I’m very close with my parents and four siblings so I’m lucky they are here with me. I think getting to be a part of the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders has really made me feel welcome and at home in Florida. It’s such a blessing to have met so many great women who share my passion for dance and football. I’m proud to be a part of a team that has such Florida pride and makes it members family.

UC- One thing Dolfans would be surprised to learn about Macy is….?

4- Something Dolfans would be surprised to learn about me is that even though I love to be glam and girly, I also have a tough side. I will squish bugs, catch frogs and ride dirt bikes on the weekend. I actually grew up riding with my brothers and cousins at the dirt tracks in rural Illinois. Nowadays I do have a mini dirt bike that I take out, but only in the off season. (I can’t risk hurting myself before football games.) I have to find something that’s exciting as games, though nothing will ever compare to having the best seats in the house!

UC- As a MDC you have been photographed thousands of times. Have you settled on your favorite “Cheerleader Photographer and Web Site”? hint hint!!!

5- Even though this is my fourth season as a MDC I still treat getting photographed like it’s a special occasion. It so fun to see pictures of myself and my teammates after our calendar shoots, games and performances! We’re so lucky get a ton of support from fans and awesome cheer sites like UC! I can’t say I have a favorite though because I think it’s part of the fun that each photographer captures their own perspective on what we do.

UC- Wow, what a diplomat, Macy for a USA Ambassador post!!

Tampa Bay players took a beating in pre season game number three. The dress rehearsal for the starters did not go well, Browns 31 Bucs 7. Thank goodness nothing counts until the September 13 opener versus the Titans.

Kudos out the Buccaneer Ladies for a excellent halftime show last Saturday with the Junior Cheerleaders. The Bucs do a great job with that program. The smiles on the youngsters are priceless.

The TBBC are ready and pointing to the opener at Ray Jay. Tickets still remain available on Buccaneer.com

Check back in next week for our report from Sun Life Stadium in Miami. Enjoy the photos, the attached album can viewed using Flickr’s slide show full screen mode.

Walk before you run and the pre-season victory by the Buccaneers over the Bengals is a small but important first step toward a successful 2015.

Hot, Hotter, and Hottest. On a hot Florida humid night, the buccaneers played hotter, but the hottest title goes to the 2015 TBBC squad in their debut on Monday Night Football. I’ll let the photos tell the story. Use the slide-show mode in Flickr to view the attached album full screen. Enjoy.

It is only the preseason but the Jaguar comeback victory over Pittsburgh is a good start that the loyal Jacksonville fan base needed. On a refreshing low humidity Florida night, the Jaguars started the NFL 2015 season off with an 23-21 victory over the Steelers. Hooray!!!

Some people call it the”It” factor but my first adjective for the ROAR is “Wow”. They have it. I’ve been waiting since my coverage of the auditions to see these beautiful young women perform on the field. Dressed in their colorful Jaguar designed tops, ultra bright white shorts, and dancing boots these entertainers are impressive to meet and photograph.

The ROAR are out on the plaza two hours before kickoff greeting fans, posing for photos and signing autographs. They are very popular with the crowd, especially the Electric Slide interactive dance lesson with the youngsters.

The ROAR consists of 34 cheerleaders of which 28 perform on the playing field during game time. The other six, on a rotating basis, visit with the suite season ticket holders. The entire squad is on the field for player introductions. Dance routines on Friday included the opening center field salute and 1st and 4th quarter performances at the end zones.

These leading ladies are an integral part of the game day entertainment for the Jaguars. Our thanks go out to Christy Stechman Zynda, Associate Director, for allowing Ultimate Cheerleaders the opportunity to present these talented young professionals.

Tickets are available, come out and meet the ROAR and see some exciting NFL football. Cheers.

The Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders will host their annual Swimsuit Calendar Unveiling and Fashion Show on Friday September 18th. Today we had the pleasure to interviewed 3rd year veteran Monica, Miss February 2016. Get your tickets here.

Monica in 2014 versus San Diego

UC – Monica, tell us about being chosen as swimsuit cover model last year.

Becoming the 2015 swimsuit cover model last year was an unforgettable moment. That night was by far the best moment of my life. It was an experience like no other to share with my teammates on stage, friends and family in the audience, and our amazing fans. A wave of different emotions ran through me; shocked seeing my picture on the big screen but overall, pure happiness. It was such an honor to be chosen to represent this incredible organization, I am truly blessed.

UC – What was the logistics of shooting the current year on an active Norwegian Getaway cruise trip?

Shooting on board the Norwegian Getaway was a blast! We sailed for 7 days to 3 breathtaking islands: St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and The Bahamas. My photo shoot took place on a beautiful beach in St. Thomas. So many steps come into play for our photo shoots. We start in hair and makeup at 5AM, and get off the ship as soon as it is docked at port. We then drive to the beach with our camera/video crew and Dolphins staff. While productions is setting up, we have a makeup artist and hair stylist to do some finishing touches and prepare us to look flawless on camera. Then it’s time to shoot! A really cool part about this year’s calendar trip was how we were on an active ship with passengers. During our shoots guests had a little sneak peek of what our shoots consisted of.

UC – This will be your second MDC Fashion Show, tell us about that excitement.

Going into my second MDC Fashion Show, the excitement just keeps getting better and better. I’ve noticed that even though it’s going to be my second show, I’m still nervous yet more prepared. Nervous because walking the runway in a bikini surrounded by so many fans is very nerve-wracking. Prepared because I have walked the runway and know it’s going to be such a powerful feeling on stage. I’m pushing myself harder than ever to be in the best shape and rock it on September 18th!

UC – We always enjoy promoting the charity/community work of the MDC–your favorite?

My favorite community work as an MDC is the Toys for Tots. The Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders donate toys to the charity and we collect a certain amount of toys per cheerleader. I consider it to be my favorite charity because kids love toys and there’s so many families out there who can’t give their children toys on Christmas. We get to physically give the children their toys and let me tell you, those kids have the biggest smiles from ear to ear. I always finish that event feeling so happy inside knowing that little boys and girls will be having a joyful Christmas and holiday season.

ROAR

The ROAR of Jacksonville celebrate the Jags win over the Steelers.

We were very lucky to corner 2nd-year veteran Allison for a chat regarding the 2016 MDC Swimsuit Calendar. The unveiling and fashion show will be Friday, September 18th at the North Club, Sun Life Stadium. Get your tickets and/or order your calendar at DolphinsCheerleaders.com/Unveiling.

UC–A swimsuit gig seems to be easy–describe the “behind the photo reality”.

Allison – It’s easy to have fun during a photo shoot but there is definitely a lot going on behind the scenes in order to get the perfect shot! We spend multiple hours getting our hair and makeup done. I also make sure that I always eat a healthy breakfast and complete a short ab workout just to get my blood flowing. When the photo shoot begins, I am always a little bit nervous at first, but I just have to shake it off and find my confidence. I have to be very aware of my body and what poses work best for me. It seems like you’re thinking about 100 things at once such as what face you are making in the photos, the way your hair is blowing in the wind, the way your swimsuit is fitting and all of the helpful directions that we get from our Miami Dolphins photographers and directors. Above all, it’s so much fun to be comfortable in your own skin and I always look forward to seeing the finished product!

UC–Regarding your military tour trip last year–what were your take-a-ways?

Allison – It was the most amazing experience of my entire life! I have such a better understanding for what our men and women in the military are going through every day. Having the chance to walk alongside them as they go through their daily activities was so interesting and informative. I also truly enjoyed getting to know them on a personal basis as well! We also had a lot of fun participating in different events such as ping pong tournaments and singing karaoke! Knowing that I was able to make an impact on their lives was definitely the most rewarding experience of the entire trip!

UC–Have you developed a favorite community initiative or charity with the Dolphins?

Allison – I absolutely love participating in Toys for Tots with the Dolphins! Last Christmas, we brought in enough toys to fill an entire U-haul truck! Being able to give back to the children in need in our South Florida community is such an amazing feeling. I’m already looking forward to giving gifts this year!

UC–Describe game day preparations.

Allison – Game day is something that we prepare for weeks in advance! We arrive to the stadium about 4 hours before the game begins so that we are able to stretch, touch up our hair and makeup and dress in our uniforms. We also participate in a number of appearances before the game begins, such as small group performances and autograph signings! After the appearances are complete, we head back into our studio to do a full run through of our routines for the game. Our adrenaline is pumping and we are all so excited to take the field!

UC–One thing fans would be surprised to learn about is . . .?

Allison – I used to be a ballerina! I danced at a studio for 15 years in South Florida. Sometimes we are able to take time to practice our dance technique by learning unique combinations that are very different from the routines that you see on the field!

Spectator attendance at Training Camp is nearly doubled this year due to increased optimism created by a certain #1 draft choice. Let’s SEIGE some home game victories this year!!!

Regarding the sideline attractions, my knowledge of the fan base informs me that the male fans want their cheerleaders to be attractive, female fans want classy women and Buccaneer Manager Tara Battiato places high emphasis on great “danceability” in her selection criteria. Well, after multiple TC visits I can report that along with all the other fine qualities the TRIFECTA has been accomplished. The 2015 squad members are very pretty, high class and they can “really shake ’em down”.

Bookmark our album as we will continue to add TC photos. Today we’ll start our coverage out with 4 year veteran Antasia, line captain.
