Our Favorite Photos – Tennessee Titans Cheerleader Anne P.

This month is our Tenth Anniversary and to celebrate we’re posting some of our all-time favorite photos.

Tennessee Titans Cheerleader Anne P. at the 2012 P-R-O Convention in Atlanta.

I have been going to the P-R-O Convention in Atlanta since 2010 and I always have a great time because I get to photograph the most beautiful professional cheerleaders in sport.  Each year, I get some memorable photos because when you gather 300 of the best dancers and most photogenic girls on the planet, you are bound to get something truly spectacular.  And in 2012, I snapped this image of Tennessee Titans Cheerleader Anne P. performing the group dance.   I just love the expression on her face and the movement in her hair.

2012 P-R-O Convention All Star: Washington Wizard Girl Joanna

The Washington Wizard Girls have been a squad that has impressed me ever since I started covering the P-R-O convention.  They have cute girls and sexy uniforms, which is to say they are a squad that is eye-catching.  This year, the Wizard Girls got new uniforms from The Line Up and I must say the girls looked quite attractive in them.  And one Wizard Girl that made a lasting impression was Joanna, who looked amazing in her new Wizard Girl uniform.  See why she is a 2012 P-R-O Convention All Star.

What makes a good dance team a great one?  Attention to details.  Sweating the small stuff.  And here we see Dance Team Manager Derric Whitfield attending to the little details that make all the difference in our photos.

There’s not much down time between sessions at P-R-O, so I didn’t get to photograph as many as the Wizard Girls as I would have liked.  And this is truly a shame because they have so many gorgeous girls to photograph.  But I did get to snap a team photo and wanted to share that with our readers.

Well, that’s all for now.  There were many amazing cheerleaders in attendance at P-R-O and I only got to feature a handful of them.  There was so much dance instruction and so little time in between sessions that it was a challenge to be able to snag a few girls to pose for photographs.  Perhaps next year, I will be able to feature a few more and highlight their talents.

I hope you have enjoyed my coverage of the 2012 P-R-O Convention, the premier professional cheerleading and dance convention.  See you next year, where we will be certain to feature more P-R-O Convention All Star cheerleaders.

2012 P-R-O Convention All Star: Jacksonville Shark Attack Dancer Randi

A few years ago, I saw James’ coverage of the Jacksonville Shark Attack dance team and ever since then, I wanted to photograph their squad.  The Jacksonville Shark Attack dance team is stacked with great looking dancers and it is a plus that they have many theme nights where the girls wear many colorful outfits.  But, alas, I live in Los Angeles and Jacksonville is literally across the country.  That pretty much means that covering them is a no go for me.

So when I read that the Jacksonville Shark Attack would be in attendance at this year’s P-R-O convention in Atlanta, I was pleasantly surprised because one of the great things about P-R-O is that I get to see some squads that I would probably never get to shoot.  And the Jacksonville Shark Attack brought their 2011 Aaron’s Dream Team representative Randi, who looked amazing in her Shark Attack uniform.

Who knows.  Maybe one day, I’ll make it out to Jacksonville and be able to photograph the Shark Attack in person.  I hear Jacksonville has many wonderful dance teams and perhaps, I might be able to combine a couple shoots and make it worth the trip out to Florida!

2012 P-R-O Convention All Star: Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader Tessa

In this edition, we feature Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader Tessa.  I remember her from auditions a couple of years ago, but this past spring, she really stood out at the 2012 ACC auditions.   She embodied their motto, “full out or get out” and gave it her all during the audition process.  Tall, good looking and an amazing dancer, Tessa is what you expect a professional cheerleader to be and for this, she is a 2012 P-R-O Convention All Star.

There were many outstanding cheerleaders at the 2012 P-R-O Convention, stay tuned to see who we feature next.

2012 P-R-O Convention Sponsor Spotlight: The Line Up

I am a man and as such, don’t really know all that much about cheerleaders except for what I like from a fan’s perspective.  I like my cheerleaders to be beautiful and sexy.  I like them to be entertaining and look graceful while dancing during stoppages of play.  And I must say part of a squad’s attractiveness to me is their uniforms.  Do they make the girls look sexy?  Do they flatter the feminine form?  Do they convey a sense of movement when the girls dance?

Well I can certainly say that The Line Up’s designs do all of that and more.  For over 20 years, The Line Up has created custom dance costume and creative performance apparel for professional sports dance teams.  And for the past several years, they have been a sponsor of the P-R-O Convention.

One of my first impressions when I started covering this convention was the number of dance teams in attendance that were wearing The Line Up’s designs.  Big name squads.  High profile squads.  And let me say, those designs certainly meet my criteria.  They are sexy.  They do flatter the feminine form.  And visually speaking, they do convey a sense of movement in my still photographs…the dresses and skirts, that is.

So let’s take a look at some of The Line Up’s designs worn by the cheerleaders in attendance at the 2012 P-R-O Convention in Atlanta.

The Washington Redskins Cheerleaders

2012 P-R-O Convention All Star: Indianapolis Colts Cheerleader Lindsey

There were many impressive cheerleaders at the 2012 P-R-O Convention…over 300 cheerleaders and dancers to be precise.  And the Indianapolis Colts must have brought their entire squad and that was a good thing because they are very impressive in person.   And one girl caught my attention for her good looks and vivacious personality…Colts Cheerleader Lindsey.

So, let us welcome our next 2012 P-R-O Convention All Star…Lindsey.

A Special 2012 P-R-O Convention All Stars: Indianapolis Colts Bling Girls

Last year, I noticed that some Colts Cheerleaders were wearing some very heavy metal…AFC Championship Rings.  Unfortunately, I noticed this while I was home in Los Angeles, post processing my images.  I vowed to not make that mistake again and I would make it a priority to get an up close look at the coveted rings.

This year, there were two girls who were on the squad when the Colts last won the AFC title after the 2009 season…Breanna and Natalie.  They were kind enough to let me snap a few photos of the girls with their bling.

So, we honor Breanna and Natalie for being a part of that special Championship season.

Those aren't some dainty pinky rings...those are some in your face Championship rings! Bam!

If I had one of those rings, I'd be looking at it all the time too!

2012 P-R-O Convention All Star: Oklahoma City Thunder Girl Jessica

When I first received notification that I would be attending the P-R-O Convention, I started doing my research and scanned the listing of squads that would be in attendance.  One of the new squads was the Oklahoma City Thunder Girls and I was excited to see who they would bring to P-R-O.  There are many NFL squads, but only a few NBA teams in attendance, so I was looking forward to photographing them.  And I was not disappointed as there were several girls that stood out for their beauty and tremendous dance ability.

In this edition, we feature one Oklahoma City Thunder Girl…Jessica, whose beauty and talent was readily evident.

2012 P-R-O Convention All Star: Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader Chelsey

Arizona has a great squad this year.  I should know, I covered their auditions this year.   In this edition, I would like to introduce you to Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader Chelsey.  She’s an amazing dancer, a pleasure to photograph and a really nice person. So for these reasons, Chelsey is a 2012 P-R-O Convention All Star.

More amazing cheerleaders from the 2012 P-R-O Convention to feature, so stay tuned!

2012 P-R-O Convention All Star: Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader Blair

Now I have found a girl that embodies what you would imagine a true Minnesota Viking Cheerleader would be if the Vikings were really Norse.  Tall.  Blonde.  Blue eyes.  And absolutely gorgeous.  I first spotted Blair in the lobby posing for a photograph with fellow MVC swimsuit cover girl Samantha in front of The Line Up’s table.  And you can say I was impressed.  I can see why they selected Blair as one of the two cover girls.  She’s very photogenic.  So when there was a lull in the proceedings, I nabbed Blair and asked her to pose for a few photographs.

So without further ado, here’s Vikings Cheerleader Blair…a 2012 P-R-O Convention All Star.

I guess you can say I like the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders.  They’re special and if you are in Minnesota, you ought to catch a game!
