Auditions for the 2011-12 Sixers Dancers got under way at the Wells Fargo Center back on June 28th. Approximately 150 hopefuls turned out for two days of performances and three rounds of cuts. It’s an annual tradition: The Sixers Dancers Finals at Chickie’s & Pete’s on the day after the All-Star Game. Dayna Hafetz is back for her second season as Sixers Dance Coach. The evening started with the 29 finalists in a group performance.
The Sixers Dancers Finals were held last night, and Sixers.com has posted the new squad. Our good friend Doris made the squad. She tells me it’s a 2½ hour drive from Long Island to Philly for practice. See the new squad here. Photos from the finals here. My photos are coming soon!
