Charger Girls auditions held at USD

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) – Dozens of beautiful and talented women showed off their dance skills for a chance to become a member of the 2012 Charger Girls Squad.

Auditions were held Sunday at the Jenny Craig Pavilion at the University of San Diego.

During the try-outs, these women had to learn a dance routine and prove to the judges why they should be a Charger Girl.

“This is what I love to do. I love to perform. I love the excitement on the field. There’s nothing like it. I’m going to keep trying until I make it,” Charger Girls hopeful, Claudia Cappiello said.

“I’m like shaking, but I’m just going to have fun with it and whatever happens, happens,” Charger Girls hopeful, Ashley Johnson said.

Those making Sunday’s cut will go on to an interview and dance final to be held in the coming days.
