2013-14 Denver Broncos Cheerleaders

Individual photos of the 2013 DBC have been posted on the Denver Broncos website. Click here to see who is on this year’s team!

Rookies Eboni and Kendal

Congratulations 2013 Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue Dancers!

Training camp is over and the team has been announced. All nine veterans made it back onto the team. They are joined by seven rookies. It looks like they’ve already been through makeovers. Quite a few of these ladies are sporting a new look.

2013 P-R-O Convention All Star: Jacksonville Axe Maiden Natalie

Our next 2013 P-R-O Convention All Star hails from the Jacksonville Axe Maidens.  Natalie is sporting a new look, short hair.  She has always had long hair, but she recently decided to cut 16 inches off and donate them to Locks for Love, a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

I imagine this was quite a daunting decision to make, but I think it was a very noble thing to do.  And I must say, she looks amazing with her new look.  Don’t change it!

So, for this reason Natalie is a 2013 P-R-O Convention All Star!

AFC Blog Update

Hope W, rookie Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader
June 28, 2013

Hello, Falcons Fans!

Your Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders had a busy week and weekend! The week kicked off with rehearsal on Tuesday night, where we learned a brand new routine. It is super cute and fun and will be great for game day.

Our Thursday practice was focused on cleaning and perfecting the routines that we have previously learned. We spent some time going over things as a group and eventually split up into our lines and had “line time.” Those types of practices are extremely important to ensuring that we look our best at all times.

Besides practice, we attended the All P-R-O Dance Convention that was held here in Atlanta. More than 300 professional cheerleaders from all over the country gathered right here in our hometown to learn dances and gain expert advice from coaches and choreographers from pro teams. It was amazing experience. To be able to fellowship with other cheerleaders from other teams is truly priceless.

You never realize how different, or similar, another person’s experience is until you have a conversation with them. In this case, we got to learn about how other teams operate and get an insight on their dance style — not to mention we get to take back a few killer routines for the season that I am sure you guys will LOVE, just as much as we did.

After our busy Saturday at All P-R-O, we headed back to Studio Space Atlanta for our team photo shoot! We got all dolled up by our amazing hair and makeup sponsors, Van Michael Salon and Pur Minerals, and practiced our posing for our individual shots in order to ensure the perfect photo to be featured with our bios. After all the individual shots were out of the way, we all lined up for our group shot that will be featured on the photo card that we all sign.

You never know how much work goes into getting the perfect pose until you are a part of it. Let me tell you, it is not easy. I just happened to be one of the girls kneeling for the photo and if I could do it all over again, I would have brought knee pads. Nevertheless, after very many attempts we got the perfect shot! We took a few fun pictures in some of our sponsored apparel and called it a wrap!

Although tiring, the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders had an amazing weekend! I hope that you guys will love all of the pictures that we took this weekend and I am sure that you guys are going to love the routines we have in store for this season. Until next time!

Peace, Love, and Spinergy,

Hope W.

Newest Celtics Dancer, Michelle Leonardo, Captured Miss New Jersey USA 2012 Crown

Michelle is back in green!

Remember, folks, it isn’t just offseason for the players.

While the NBA goes on its summer break, the players may get some well-deserved rest, but for many people on the periphery of a professional basketball organization, there’s no rest for the weary. Beyond team executives who sometimes make their toughest decisions while there are no games, the team cheerleaders, too, have some work to do.

2013 auditions to become a Celtics Dancer occurred in three dates in three cities — Los Angeles, New York and Boston. The Boston tryouts, as well as the final two days after some eliminations, were held at Suffolk University, and the team didn’t have to go far to find its newest member.

Michelle Leonardo, Miss New Jersey USA 2012 champion and current Suffolk University journalism student, became the newest Celtics Dancer, according to Internet chatter. The 23-year-old is still set to compete at Miss Earth 2013 due to her Top 10 finish at Miss USA 2012, but she will also be cheering on the Celtics — whatever unknown players might remain on the team — throughout the 2013-14 season.

2013 P-R-O Convention All Star: Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader Melissa

One of the more enjoyable aspects of the P-R-O Convention is the bright eyed enthusiasm of the rookies and first year attendees.  Their excitement is palpable.  Everything is new to them and they are a breath of fresh air.  I got a chance to chat with a couple of bubbly blonde rookie Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders.  They made me remember the sheer joy of my youth and I was re-energized to shoot them…and that was a good thing because I was exhausted, suffering from a mere three hours of sleep.

In today’s All Star edition, we feature one of the blonde rookie Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders…2013 P-R-O Convention All Star Melissa.

Skol, baby!

P-R-O Convention: Hanging with a Couple of Cheer Legends

In addition to seeing hundreds of the hottest Cheerleaders and Dancers in Professional Sports, the P-R-O Convention gave us a chance to catch up with some old friends of the blog.

Donald Wells ran the Washington Wizards Dancers before moving on to directing the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders where he transformed the team into one of the NFL’s elite squads. Sandy Charboneau was a Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pro Bowl Cheerleader before serving as the Bucs Cheerleader Director for a decade.

Today, Donald works for the Navy as Morale and Welfare Officer at a base in Djibouti. He has also become the master of CrossFit.

Sandy has started her own company, Pro Tour Productions. She puts together entertainment tours of Cheerleaders, Players, Comedians and Bands that visit overseas military installations.

2013 P-R-O Convention All Star: Houston Texans Cheerleader Charlotte

There were a couple of teams that brought large contingents of cheerleaders to the 2013 P-R-O Convention and one of these was the Houston Texans Cheerleaders.  They must have brought their entire squad because there were Texans Cheerleaders everywhere you looked.  And this year, Director Alto Gary’s squad may be the hottest in the NFL and they wear some of the most distinctive uniforms in professional cheerleading, which is a plus in my book.

Today, we feature a third year veteran and native Houstonian.  Introducing Charlotte, a 2013 P-R-O Convention All Star.

2013 Celtics Dancers Final Audition

Ok, first of all CONGRATS to my homeslice LUCY for making the team! Another Southern California girl is Boston bound. So so so proud of her. She will definitely be an asset to the team. Lucy is joining two of my other So Cal homies on the team, Tiffany and Monique, who are both entering their third year on the team.

Celtics Dancers on NECN

(NECN) – The coach won’t be the only new member of the Boston Celtics next season.

There will be several new Celtics girls on the dance team.

The Celtics Dancers presented by Alex and Ani joined NECN to talk about the auditioning process and what it’s like to be on the team.

Celtics Dancer Amanda said that over 300 girls auditioned for a part on the team, and the search was conducted all the way to the west coast.

She said it takes a lot of practice to dance in the boots, and that getting on the court can be a challenge.

Ashley said that it’s a part-time job with a full-time commitment, and the dancers have a lot of responsibility in trying to give back to communities.

Most of the dancers are full-time students or have full-time jobs.
