The loss of a starting quarterback is always a bad thing because of the difficulty in replacing that level of production by a backup who has not had the benefit of all those reps. There’s a reason why there’s a drop off, but that does not mean that a loss is a certainty. In fact, if your teammates step up and rise to the occasion, the loss of a starting quarterback could be a minor bump on the road.
And that is what happened last Sunday, when the Denver Broncos started a replacement level quarterback for the injured Joe Flacco, who was lost for the season the week prior. Brandon Allen was serviceable as Flacco’s replacement and the Broncos defense limited the struggling Browns to a pedestrian 19 points for the victory.
Final score: Broncos – 24, Browns – 19.

The Arizona Cardinals battled valiantly against the undefeated San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football, eventually succumbing 28 – 15. Jimmy Garrapolo threw for 317 yards and four touchdowns to lead the 49ers, who had to withstand a furious 11 point comeback attempt in the fourth quarter by the Cardinals. But the 49ers prevailed to remain the only 8-0 team in the NFL.

The most surprising and competitive game of Week 9 was the match up between the Seattle Seahawks and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On paper, this should have been a rather easy win for the Seahawks, but the Buccaneers proved to be a most resilient foe, only succumbing to the home team in overtime.
Final score: Seahawks – 40, Buccaneers – 34 OT.
Seattle can be a little cold and moist this time of year and the latest images from the Pacific Northwest certainly look rather chilly. See for yourself. Click here to view the Seahawks gallery of images from Sunday.

One of the biggest surprises of the season has been the play of the Baltimore Ravens and, more directly, the play of quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has been nothing short of amazing. And this past week, the Ravens battled the New England Patriots…the unbeaten and consensus best team in the NFL, New England Patriots. And, to my surprise, the Ravens came away victorious. It wasn’t even close as the Ravens thoroughly dominated the Patriots from the get go.
Final score: Ravens – 37, Patriots – 20.
With the recap out of the way, let’s us take a look at the most recent photos of the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders. Click here to view the latest images from last Sunday.

The unexpected happened last Sunday as the Los Angeles Chargers thoroughly dominated the visiting Green Bay Packers for a 26 – 11 victory. It wasn’t that the Chargers won the game that was so unexpected. No, it was they way in which the Chargers won that was so surprising. A dominating defense held the vaunted Packers offense to a season worst performance largely by limiting Aaron Rodgers and holding them to a meager 45 yards rushing. Additionally, the Chargers offense was able to move the ball effectively against the Packers all day long, scoring two touchdowns and four field goals.
This was also the Chargers’ Salute to Service celebration and the Charger Girls wore their traditional military themed uniforms, the absolute best in the NFL, to honor the occasion. Click here to view the Chargers gallery of images from last Sunday.

It’s been a while since we’ve last seen the Raiderettes at home and that’s because the Oakland Raiders have just returned from a five week sojourn that took them to Minneapolis, Indianapolis, London, Green Bay and Houston. The team returned home to Oakland to play the visiting Detroit Lions in Week 9 and it was another chance to view the Raiderettes in the Oakland Coliseum before they relocate to Las Vegas next season. Oakland fans should savor each and every one of these few remaining home games in the Bay Area because when they are gone, it will be an end of an era.

In Week 9 of the NFL regular season, the Kansas City Chiefs were involved in a thriller that literally came down to the last second. Harrison Butker kicked a 44 yard field goal as time expired to deliver the win for the Chiefs.
Final score: Chiefs – 26, Vikings – 23.
With the win, the Chiefs maintain a game and a half lead over their nearest division rivals, the Oakland Raiders, in the AFC West.
Now let us change gears and take a look at the latest images of the Kansas City Cheerleaders, who were sporting commemorative camo uniforms to honor those who have served in the military. Click here to view the Chiefs gallery of images from Sunday.
