In Week 8, the Detroit Lions hosted the New York Giants in a battle of middling teams. This is a quarterback dominant league and both teams had QBs that had good performances. It was a competitive game, but the difference in this game was a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown by the Detroit defense.
Final score: Detroit – 31 Giants – 26.

Minshew Mania is alive and well in Jacksonville. Gardner Minshew II led the charge against the New York Jets by throwing for 279 yards and three touchdowns and his efforts led to victory.
Final score: Jaguars – 29, Jets – 15.
When starting quarterback Nick Foles returns, the Jaguars coaching staff are going to have a difficult choice to make going forward. Foles or Minshew? Your guess is as good as mine.

The match up between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles was as important as they come. The game featured the top two teams in the division and two teams with deep play off expectations, so it was a little bit of a surprise that only one team came to play. And that team was the Dallas Cowboys, whose offense ran roughshod all over the Eagles defense to the tune of 189 yards and three touchdowns.
Final score: Cowboys – 37, Eagles – 10
