Casting:

* Men to portray NFL football players – playing experience is a must! Wear workout clothes.
* Female cheerleaders ages 18-22. Cheerleading experience is a must! Wear workout clothes.

Also casting “look-a-likes” of Antonio Gates, AJ Hawk, DeMarcus Ware, Mario Williams, Wes Walker, Jeff Reed, Adrian Peterson, Marion Barber, Osi Umenyiora, and Steve Smith.

On Sunday Madison Square Garden will be the site of the Knicks City Dancers Open Auditions.

Former Knicks City Dancer and So You Think You Can Dance contestant Courtney Galiano and SYTYCD judge and choreographer Shane Sparks will be checking out the talent vying for a spot on the new Knicks City Dancers squad.

When Amy Holland Pennell delivers the classic “There’s no place like home!” line tonight, she’ll mean it more than most in the audience might imagine.

For the past three years, this multitalented 1999 Granite City High School graduate has been in Los Angeles, working her way up the star ladder. Just recently, she put the wraps on her starring role as Alice Bordeaux in John Ward’s “The Ten Commandments,” which is due out later this year.

But by a stroke of luck, she returned to St. Louis recently for another audition, and Beverley Scroggins, her high school drama coach, pounced on the opportunity. Scroggins landed her former student for the lead role of Dorothy in the Summerstage production of “The Wizard of Oz” at 7:30 p.m. tonight through Saturday at Granite City High School.

Congratulations to Nicole Blaszczyk of XSL Detroit Ignition “The Spark” Dance Team who was crowned Miss Michigan this past weekend.

Nicole is a full-time student at Wayne State University pursuing a degree in Marketing.

Nicole will now go on to compete in the Miss America Pageant in January.

Monday night at the Nets Practice facility in East Rutherford, the 2009-10 Nets Dancers were selected. Nets Entertainment Manager Kimberlee Garris described the auditions as the most competitive, and the decisions the most difficult yet.

There are thirteen members of the 2008-09 Nets on the new squad. Of the remaining three: Marla is former Nets Dancer who won the fan voting contest in 2005, Jen is a NY Titans Siren and Terrie danced for the NJ Ironmen and the NJ Devils last season.

Satuday June 14th Mid-Atlantic Dave was at the 1st Mariner Arena Baltimore. The Mariners defeated their I-83 rivals the Harrisburg Stampede 58 – 55. Dave sends us a few photos of the Lady Mariners Dance Team under the direction of our good friend Audra Weaver.

Auditions for the 2009-10 Baltimore Blast Cheerleaders are Saturday, July 11th. Registration starts at 12:00 noon. The audition fee is $20.00 unless you attend a prep class and then the fee is waived.

The prep classes are Monday July 6th from 7-9 and Wednesday July
8th from 7-9. Audition choreography will be taught. Prep classes are $10.00 each 2/$15.00 and the audition fee is waived.

It is all at Bally Total Fitness in Glen Burnie, MD. The address is:

Also, those selected for the 2009-2010 season may have the opportunity to travel to Bermuda so girls should have a valid US Passport in case they are selected.
