Long Day at the Linc – Eagles Cheerleaders Open Call Auditions

What’s it take to become a Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleader?

Beauty, Fitness, Talent, Personality.

How about energy and stamina?

Dancers spent a long day on their feet on the Club Level of Lincoln Financial Field. And that’s why Natalya is sporting a can of Red Bull. (Perhaps I can convince them to sponsor the site.)

After 7 hours and 2 round of cuts, 328 hopefuls were narrowed down to 73 dancers, who will go on the semi-finals.

Of course, you would have already known that if you had subscribed to our twitter feed.

These numbers don’t included current members of the Eagles Cheerleaders hoping to return for 2010. (The rumored number of those attempting to continue cheering is 30.) Those ladies had a “bye” for Open Call and were quite busy as well today, teaching the routine, answering questions and escorting the dancers through the audition process.

It’s all going to culminate the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders Finals Tuesday, April 20th at the Prince Theater in Center City.

Much more from Saturday’s Open Call coming this week, but first I owe a couple of groups of ladies from Charlotte (The Lady Cats and The Checkmates) some photos.
