jennifer-hillNASHVILLE, Tenn – The annual Cheers to Robin event benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is coming up on April 29th. The event will feature local celebrities participating in celebrity trivia and is sure to be an eventful evening. Co-sponsoring the event with the Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders is Jennifer Hill, a Titans Cheerleader alumnus who is campaigning to be this year’s Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year.

Jennifer is former captain for the Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders and served as the team’s Pro Bowl nominee in 2007. Currently she is an Engineer at Nissan North America and her community activities include numerous worthy causes, among them are serving as the co-leader for Mt. Zion Baptist Church Dance Ministry as well as the Events Coordinator for the Tennessee Titans Cheerleading Alumnae Group. Her desire to help the community was perpetuated during her 5 year career as a Titans Cheerleader. As she moved from her role as a Titans Cheerleader to a professional career, she became more involved with a group the Cheerleaders work with closely, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Jennifer explains her commitment to the organization, stating, “Now, I am committed to assisting with research and resources that will help destroy a disease that has devastated so many families.”

The Man and Woman of the Year contests looks to name a Man and Woman of the year based on philanthropic donations the candidate receives through his or her campaign. Each dollar counts as one vote and goes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help fight the diseases through multiple means. Last year, through campaigns for Man and Woman of the Year, candidates in Middle Tennessee raised over $200,000 and candidates across the nation raised over $7 million. This year, Jennifer’s personal goal is $35,000.

To support Jennifer in her efforts and help her reach her goal you can attend several upcoming events where Titans Cheerleaders and other local celebrities will join her in raising money for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Jen’s Drive for a Cure Golf Tournament on April 24th will benefit her campaign. Additionally, the annual Cheers to Robin: Classy Celebrity Trivia will be held April 29th, hosted by the Titans Cheerleaders and Jennifer Hill.
