CMT will go behind closed doors for another season series to witness the sacred tryouts of one of the nation’s most beloved institutions in Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team.

Interested candidates may obtain an application by calling 972-556-9932 or by visiting www.dallascowboyscheerleaders.com. All applicants must meet the following requirements:

· Must live in (or relocate to) the DFW Metroplex if selected
· Must have reliable transportation

· Must be able to attend all rehearsals

During the preliminary round, candidates will have the opportunity to perform “freestyle” dance moves in groups of five for the judging panel. At the end of the performances, the judges’ selections for callbacks will be posted. Successful participants will then advance to a semi-final, personal interview and final round of competition before becoming a member of the 2010 squad.

“We look for ladies with a special sparkle to serve as goodwill ambassadors for the Dallas Cowboys,” said Kelli Finglass, Director of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. “The ladies selected for the 2010 squad must be intelligent, poised, attractive, confident and talented entertainers who are willing to accept responsibility as role models to women across the globe. This is a unique opportunity for them to share the magic of representing a championship organization.”

Since their first Championship days in the 1970’s, the Dallas Cowboys have been called “America’s Team” and their famed cheerleaders are “America’s Sweethearts.” The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have been often imitated throughout the league, but never equaled in terms of beauty, style, athleticism and worldwide popularity. The white and blue star-spangled uniforms have unquestionably become an iconic symbol of America. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders perform for more than 80,000 fans at all home games in the new Cowboys Stadium, travel to exotic locations on the Swimsuit Calendar Shoot, perform around the world on USO Tours for American military personnel and make countless appearances in film and television. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders made history as the first cheerleading squad to have a self-titled made for television movie and received the first-ever USO “Spirit of Hope Award” in recognition of the many years of distinguished service to men, women and families of American Armed Forces.
