The Gotham City Cheerleaders

The New York Giants don’t have Cheerleaders…not officially.
But Giants fans, both young and old, have taken an immediate liking to the Gotham City Cheerleaders and their dream to become the Giants Official Cheerleaders.
And the GCC couldn’t have better leadership as they set forth in their quest to dance on the sidelines of MetLife Stadium..
The Gotham City Cheerleaders are under the direction of former Washington Redskins Cheerleader Ana De Villegas, while the Ref Squad are coached by former San Diego Charger Girl and NY Jets Flight Crew member Christie Artinger.
For a variety of complicated legal reasons, I can’t show you any photos of Ana and Christie from my visit to North Jersey. But that’s okay, I’ll just dig into the Ultimate Cheerleaders archives.

Sunday morning before a Giants home game, you can find the Gotham City Cheerleaders at Redd’s Restaurant, Bar & Banquets in nearby Carlstadt.
Some last minute rehearsing
In the circle and then it’s off to Redd’s Tailgate Party!

After performing for the fans at Redd’s, it was off to visit tailgates in the parking lot of the stadium.

Captain BriAnna commutes all the way from Binghampton. That’s nearly a 4 hour trip!
You don’t need to write the Giants management to tell them that the team needs Cheerleaders (although it couldn’t hurt). But you can like the the GCC on Facebook and help keep the groundswell going.

How can the Giants not allow these beautiful ladies on their sideline ???
I love GCC and their Ref squad ladies! They do NY proud and represent our city passionately. Personally, I want cheerleaders and dancers in the Giant’s franchise and hope one day these ladies will be cheering and dancing on the field at Met Stadium for our beloved NY Giants. They are first-class all the way: beauty, brains, and individuals with heart. In the meantime, they keep all of us entertained, including the tailgate parties, charity work. They are beautiful examples of fitness, health, hard work and each one has amazing accomplishments. Just the fact that they light up any place they go and put smiles on people who need reminding that life and having fun is a good thing! Their manager Ana DeVillegas along with Cristie Artinger ARE Ultimate Cheerleaders who made it, keep on giving, beautify our city, share their love of the game and most of all, love of the NY Giants!
Why are they called Gotham City? Batman fans?
